My baby is coming up to 9 weeks and still feeds 2 hourly in the day (and sometimes at night) and wondered if this was the norm? We have had occasions of course where he has gone much longer but the average is 2 hours-ish.
He also is still a very sleepy baby in the day. We don’t always get to do play time in his wake windows as he is back asleep when I’m burping him 🥺

My baby is 11 weeks today and recently she's gone back to feeding around 2 hours during the day but I'm just going with it because if it's what she's wanting/needing then I will give it too her

Totally normal, my boy is 8 weeks (he's my second) and very sleepy too! Between about 9pm and 8am he generally only has 2 feeds, but through the day he feeds lots. I don't track his naps but he usually has one or two really solid naps around 2 hours ish, then a few shorter ones too (poor thing gets lugged around for his big brothers pick up/drop offs/activities etc.. when he's up sometimes he just feeds & cuddles before nodding off again.. others he'll be up for longer and get a bit more interaction

My lily is 10 weeks. She is doing the same but bottle fed. Today she wont settle on her own and just cries. Its draining x
Thanks all! I don’t mind the constant feeding just worried he maybe isn’t getting what he needs form the feeds so coming back for more if that makes sense?😅
Also feeling guilty as I see mums doing lots of stimulating play for their babies development and my little man is acting like he is training for the sleep olympics and so feel awful like I’m not helping him come on with his development.

I think that's quite normal still, my girl is 8weeks and she has been waking up for a feed in the night every 1an half hours the last few days and same as in the day time, she was going abit to around 3hours in the night but is wanting more atm, maybe a growth spurt?

During the day my baby (6 weeks) feeding a lot. Not sure if that's normal but it seems like she just grazes rather than has a full feed
yeah I did wonder this. Sometimes he goes longer (if we co-sleep) but normally in the dot of two hours he’s ready for a feed 😅

Yeah same here, she will sleep for loads longer if she's on me for sure! I can't imagine her only waking like twice a night right now, it feels a long way off 😂🙈

My boy was 9 weeks this weekend and he still feeds every two hours. He can also have some very sleepy days and I've found myself worrying that I'm not doing enough because he sleeps so much at times. And he's the same with sleeping longer on me than if I try and put him down.

Curious to see what weight your breast feed babies are at this point, my baby was born at 7 lb 10 but lost a lot of weight after birth more than the 10 percent I am exclusively breastfeeding and she’s 9 weeks and weighs just over 9lb she’s very long and lean but I’m constantly worrying is she getting enough is she weighing enough 🤯

@Newbie my worry too! Shes due to get weighed next week but last week she was 9lb 9oz. HV said as long as she's gaining and doesn't plateu then no concerns

thanks for responding, how old is your little one? I even bought my own weighing scales now as I was over thinking!
my baby was 12lb on the 29th at our HV appointment. He was 7lb11oz born but we were very fortunate he only lost 2% of his body weight when we went for our 3 day midwife appointment.

Thank you it’s interesting to see how each baby differs how old is your baby currently? X
9 weeks on Wednesday. It is interesting but I think too much pressure is put on moms about weight. As long as they are feeding and plenty nappy output that’s the main thing x

Yeh I do agree with you on that mine has plenty of heavy wet and dirty nappies a day and seems content after each feed but yeh there is a lot of talk about weight and the pressure is all on us mothers x
