Successful delivery story

My son was born yesterday at 10:13 after waiting days and days getting gels put in me to open my cervix as they wanted to induce me and then waiting for the labour ward to break my waters, after my waters were broken I went from 2cm at 2am to me being fully diluted at 9am had to wait an hour because did you know the baby travels down itself first and then when it’s past half way you push so I pushed at 10am and baby was out by 10:13 now this was my first pregnancy I thought labour was going to be stressful however for some reason the epidural worked to the point I couldn’t feel anything apart from the baby coming out so I felt no pain, I didn’t cry or scream I just breathed and pushed I didn’t even use gas and air, when I was fully diluted the midwife told many other people about how fast it went because we were all shocked drs came in too and saw me so calm my husband saw one of them go to the other “she’s very calm right now” definitely feeling the aftermath though pain was 100% although opening my bowels was fine my advice is pack what you want to pack I actually have used most things in my bag I packed and bring snacks , don’t panic if you waiting to be induced don’t listen to how others are reacting to the gels, you know your body, walk around walk up and down the stairs use the provided ball i really do believe me and my husband walking everywhere in the hospital every couple of hours and bouncing for an hour while we played games helped my progress and don’t let anyone scare you because you will worry for months and months and then you will do fantastic 💕💕💕
