Routine change once at nursery

I've got my son down for April 2024 to start nursery. He currently has a nap at 12.30ish till 2pm however the afternoon slots start at 1pm which I want to get him into. I asked and they said 1pm would be the latest to come in. Has anyone changed little ones routine up. I don't know if he will still need a nap or not in April?

Have the nursery said he has to be dropped off at 1?
My little boy does afternoons at nursery which start at 1, he currently naps around 12-2pm so we just drop him off once he's woken up and had lunch, end up dropping him off at 2:30ish and nursery are more than happy with this, bit annoying as I've paid for that time but can't help when he naps! I'm hoping as he gets older he will start lasting till 1pm so he can nap as soon as he gets to nursery as that's when they start their nap times

yes they said 1pm would be the latest for the afternoon session. I suppose I could have a word nearer the time if he's still in the same routine

I'd try and change the times to adapt to nursery

You could potentially drop him off asleep? If he would stay asleep and if you’re using a buggy and they’re happy to take him asleep.
Or they could pop him down to sleep at 1pm when he gets there, then maybe cap the sleep till 2pm?

Not exactly the same situation but my LB has started nursery a few days a week and their sleep pattern is different to ours and he has adapted to the new routine.
It wasn’t ideal at the start and I had wished they would do something different with him to not mess his usual routine but it was fine once he got used to it.
I’d probably try to start changing his pattern at home to prepare for it, at least it’s one less transition when it happens.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
