Baby boy was born 10/6, came home 10/8 after c section. My mom was here helping after we came home and left Friday and the baby blues really hit me when she left. My husband has been home and will be all this week. But it feels even more lonely having him here vs not being here, if that makes sense. He sits on his phone all day, not talking to me. Yeah, he helps me by handing me our son and gets me food, but I’m not feeling that connection anymore. Is this normal?? It also bothers me that he hides out in the bathroom masturbating. Am I the only one?

I told my husband to go back to work because I felt the same way. You are having a huge hormone change girl, it is completely normal. I didn't feel better until about week 4. I had extreme highs and lows and reached out to my doctor just to be safe. If you are having more than baby blues do not hesitate to reach out for help at your OB or even counseling. And maybe if you're husband is bothering you by doing certain things maybe he would understand if you talked to him about it. Maybe watch a postpartum video about it together so he is more educated on how women can feel during this time

thanks girl 🥺 do you have any video recommendations perhaps??

I know lots of people have strong opinions on what you mentioned at the end but it's ok if it's bothering you. It def would bother me

Here's a few I think may help. I know one of them is like about postpartum depression but I related to so many things she was talking about. If you want to chat more about this and how you are feeling don't hesitate to inbox me I really don't want you to feel alone. The second one is just a short from YouTube. She just talks about how much we need after birth from our partners. ❤️

thank you so much, you are so sweet😭😭

I had MAJOR baby blues for the first week. I was terrified it’d turn into PPD. Now currently 3w and things feel monotonous still but that general feeling of sadness went away beginning to mid 2nd week.
