I give my son what we eat and in finger food size so he can eat it

Have tried blw with my son kind of works kind of doesn’t so whatever we eat he eats unless it too spicy or salty then I’ll just basically make him a little bit of pasta he loves that if he’s not in the mood to try eat himself I’ll feed him..asda do great deals on baby food jars I think 5 for £4 or something like that pastas meats risotto all sorts those are slightly chunky also do purées as well Morrisons do good pouches my son loves the salmon pie from Morrisons I guess it’s just about have a look around then going from there food from home is a bit tricky to start with but tiktok is an amazing world and I get a lot of food ideas from there and how to serve as well

I think if you choose something to start you’ll get over the fear? I read all the books and follow all the Instagram accounts, took a baby cpr class etc and was still terrified.. but you watch them and see how well equipped their little bodies are at spitting back up things that are too big? If you download the solid starts app or just follow on Instagram it will show you how to prepare the things. And start with something that feels less scary, and build?
I found things like sweet potato and steamed courgettes were helpful for us, and I would just smoosh the pieces into the high chair tray a bit? Steamed broccoli, they pretty much just much the top bit? Try, you’ll save money on the pouches and you’ll get more confident. AND
Don’t intervene unless they are blue and choking.. the gagging and coughing are terrifying but normal. 🙈

What about an egg to start? Crack it into a little bowl, whisk it up with a fork then pour into a non stick frying pan so it makes a thin layer on the bottom. Once it’s cooked, cut into long but fairly fat strips (maybe 1 egg into 4 strips) and then give to baby one at a time.
My son is the same age and he hates all solid food apart from potato wedges!
