Hi everyone. I'm just curious really, what's everyone still managing to do? I'm finding walking more of struggle each day and the same loop of the park now takes me twice the time and I'm properly puffed afterwards!
Am I being unrealistic expecting to keep up walking/swimming/yoga right up to birth?
Currently 37weeks (FTM and a bit clueless š)

Everything is getting harder for me but Iām still trying to keep moving as much as I can. Iāll be 37 weeks tomorrow. Iām doing a lunchtime dog walk everyday, longer walks at the weekends, and aquanatal once a week. Iām ok walking on the flat but any kind of incline has me really puffed out and I have to keep a hold of my husband to keep him at my pace! My midwife has said to keep it up as long as I feel able to.

Iāve had to stop going to the gym in the past week, Iām 35 weeks now. Iām just finding it too painful with pelvic pain. I can barely manage a walk more than 15 minutes now, itās been hard to accept Iāll be honest š

You are not being unrealistic. Sometimes, I just want to sit at home and lay in bed all day.
However, I ditch that thought and climb up and down the stairs at intervals, sit on my birthing/yoga ball instead to engage in hip circles and soft bounces with some stretches. Regarding walking, I reduced my walk limit to 5k steps a day and it's a task for me who used to walk 10k to 15k steps the least. I am 38wks and some days and I can totally relate to walking being tidious atm.š

Thanks everyone, this is really reassuring ā¤ļø especially to hear you're feeling the same about the new limitations as we get bigger, it is hard to accept. But we've got this š not long to go now!

I did yoga/pilates at the start of pregnancy but not going to lie, havenāt done anything other than going out for walks since.
I lost my mojo for the gym way before I got pregnant (moved 6 hours north and renovated a house) and didnāt feel like now was the time I got back into it so I just do what makes me feel good. Short walks, long walks, a bit of pregnancy yoga! š§š¼āāļø
I want to stay active with walks but Iāll do what my body allows me at the moment (37wks) x

Iām 36 weeks pregnant and prior to pregnancy was always in the gym lifting heavy weights. I have continued to exercise during my pregnancy, just adjusting it. I hit about 34 weeks and couldnāt do workouts anymore and have just been walking but itās becoming a huge struggle. I walk for about 15 minutes and feel like the baby is going to fall out!
