Following as I’m worried about the same thing!

I would love to know the same please ❤️

I have 5 kids and I have had it with every pregnancy. I’m sorry. I know that’s not what anyone wants to hear, but it’s good to be prepared mentally. Also, on the flip side, everyone is different and it’s not a guaranteed thing!

I'm pregnant with my third, and I have HG. I take diclectin and zofran daily, it's gotten better with the second trimester. However, with my first and second pregnancies, I was sick, but nothing compared to this. I honestly think it depends, do many varying factors.

I should have mentioned…I tried all the oral medicines all the natural medicines and NOTHING worked….I finally found a doctor who understood HG better than any other dr…she got me a home health nurse and they put me on IV fluids with vitamins and stuff and then also had a zofran pump. While it was still hell, I stayed out of the hospital and was able to function…not normal function but you know. I am so very thankful for that doctor. So I would add that if you are still struggling, it is NOT something you have to “deal” with. There ARE doctors out there who will find what works for you and will help you and even tho it’s scary, it is SO worth it to switch doctors.

I have two kids, severe HG with both and unfortunately, worse with the second. Not what you want to hear, but it is very much a reality and likelihood that women who suffer from it in one pregnancy will be followed by it in others. Not sure where you are located, but if possible, have a dual care set up with your Obgyn and a midwife or secondary care partner. It's so incredibly worth it! My midwife was with me for both babies and was able to advocate care for me when I was at my worst not to mention the mental health support alone is priceless. I was in the hospital every two weeks with baby #2. I had a PICC line put in maybe the second month into the pregnancy and was on a continuous gravol drip dosing every 6 hours plus taking, diclectin, ondansatron, pantoloc and maxeran and of course the glorious vitamins! I was so low in hospital at one point that I had to be given a blood transfusion, two iron infusions, and a magnesium infusion. I was eating just never able to keep anything down.

Continued tangent: Have things to keep you busy if you go into hospital. Nothings worse than being alone. Surround yourself with loved ones and people that understand (as much as possible) Eat small meals, frequently! You don't want to be on an empty stomach EVER! Its going to be more challenging having a baby at home the second time around but this is temporary! You'll get through it 💪 🙏 ❤️

80% chances of having HG again with the same severity or worse according to my doctor, I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant at the worst time possible and I’m already having mornings sickness, and last time by week 8 I was down 14 pounds

@Rosmar oh gosh! That sounds awful! I hope you feel better soon!! Xx

yep. I had it again with my second. my first is 4yrs old. took me ages to mentally prepare myself to go through it again. but have to admit this time i was prescribed xonvea till week 16. beautiful medication but only some hospitals prescrjbe it as ondanestron can only be taken after i think 16weeks. it made my life so much easier. p.s if you are in birmingham, womens hospital are amazing with HG. i feel like now they know and understand HG much better than they did with my first. AVOID HEARTLESSLAND. they treat u like meat n will have u waiting hours with a sick bowl!

I had it worse in my second pregnancy than my first- it was horrible. 🙃

So far I had it worse with my first one, but only almost 12 weeks, so I’m not sure.

I’m on my third and had it each time 😩
