Early pregnancy bleeding

Put as sensitive just in case

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant, for the last 3 days I've been bleeding. It went from spotting to dark brown. Stopped for a few hours. Pink, back to brown. Spotting on and off again and now it's red/pink with clots. Does anyone have any success stories? Im thinking the worse but apparently you can bleed like a period and everything is fine? I'm really unsure who to call as I'm not under a hospital yet nor seen my midwife. Apart from the local non emergency hospital? I'm not in pain or anything and feel the same as I did the first time around. I'm just so confused and thinking the worse and brokenšŸ˜”

Call the EPU at your local hospital. Some do walk-in scans, e.g. in London. They should be able to see a small sac at 5 weeks. If not, call GP and tell them your concerns and get HCG 48 hour blood test done to check your levels are doubling. Good luck šŸ¤ž

I don't think my local one has an EPU, I can't find anything online just the maternity assessment unit but I thought that was 8 weeks+? Thank you, I'll give them a ring Monday

I’m currently 12 weeks had heavy bleeding at 6 weeks went hospital turns out I have a heart shaped uterus baby is on the left and on the right I have tissue from last period that didn’t fully shed and kept bleeding on and off for 2 weeks . If you are worried go to A&E they will send you gynae and the next day you get a scan.

If they give you a scan it will be internal scan, a camera on what sorry looks like a dildo 😬 that is able to see the baby and see if the sack is leaking ect

Oh wow really? That's crazy, I've read about a low lying placenta what can cause it but nothing like that. Happy everything turned out okay for you! Yeah i think I'll call the maternity unit in the morning and see if they can help, I really don't fancy taking my 9 month old to a&e with me for hours

Most maternity ward (uk) advise go to A&E as most don’t see you unless 16 weeks which isn’t fair but it’s how most nhs hospitals do it

For my local EPU, you have to be referred to by your GP and they check you for ectopic pregnancy with early bleeding. I had blood tests and came in for a scan the next day. Everything turned out to be fine for me, wishing you the best and sending love ā¤ļø

When I was 5 weeks pregnant with my son I had bleeding and some light cramping for a few days my OB had me go to the ER to make sure it wasn’t an ectopic pregnancy. Everything was fine and I now have a healthy happy 7 month old the bleeding didn’t effect the rest of my pregnancy in any way

I'm in the same situation, it sucks that the symptoms of miscarriage can also just be normal pregnancy symptoms. Really worried.
I called 111 and spoke to an out of hours gp

@Charlotte oh lovely, im so sorry to hear that. I hope everything goes good for you. It's horrible isn't it x

Love my husband. Love my kids. But…

I’m 32 weeks pregnant with twins. I take care of my 4 yo, 2 yo, and 1 yo. I barely have energy to stand anymore. I cuddle and watch movies with my kids all day at this point. My husband is less pushy in this pregnancy in wanting to be touched or love up on me. But I feel more like a tool these days more than ever. He gets frustrated (not to a crazy degree) but I can tell he huffs because he’s probably sexually frustrated from me not wanting to be touched on. (my boobs are super sensitive atm) I love having the babies part, but the pregnancy also now has me feeling like a baby making machine. And a tool with big boobs made for touches and my husbands pleasure. Ofc I love my husband and kids, but with my hormones all wack, it really doesn’t feel the same when you’re not turned on. It’s so hard for me to get turned on. I’m uncomfortable all the time in my own body. Babies moving in there all the time. My children cuddle me all day but get rowdy at the end of the day, so I end up getting touched out and I can get irritable when my husband tries to touch me affectionately. He doesn’t have the tact necessary for me right now, when I wish he wanted to go in for a normal comforting hug I’m let down more often than not, there is almost always a boob groping involved as well. I tried to just let him touch me last night so he could get it out of his system, but he could tell I felt tense. Wish my boobs weren’t such an uncomfortable place for me to be touched. Idk why I’m making this post. Probably just to vent. Wish men were equally as emotionally intelligent as women. Wish I didn’t feel like I still owe him something because he’s picking up a lot of the house load and yet I still need to ask him to do more before these twins arrive. He’s tired every day when he comes home, so he takes a shower sometimes works out, and helps get the kids to bed. So it’s a struggle getting him to help any further than that. Weekends are my only time to get to him. But it’s a struggle to find time on weekends too. I know if he wanted to he would. But there’s just no drive.

What are we giving our soon-to-be 3yo for their birthdays?

We have the magnetiles, we have the kinetic sand and play doh, we have the play kitchen…

Literally, is there anything left in the world to buy this spoilt kid? šŸ˜…

Baby groups?

Hello there!!
I hope you enjoying the 5month babies 🫠 the cuteness outweighs everything over here.
We live in the area of Croydon & need to start going to baby groups ( I NEED it more than him though) but I am a little bit clueless. Any recommendations?
We are happy to travel a bit too.
Thanks ā˜ŗļø
