I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant, for the last 3 days I've been bleeding. It went from spotting to dark brown. Stopped for a few hours. Pink, back to brown. Spotting on and off again and now it's red/pink with clots. Does anyone have any success stories? Im thinking the worse but apparently you can bleed like a period and everything is fine? I'm really unsure who to call as I'm not under a hospital yet nor seen my midwife. Apart from the local non emergency hospital? I'm not in pain or anything and feel the same as I did the first time around. I'm just so confused and thinking the worse and brokenš

Call the EPU at your local hospital. Some do walk-in scans, e.g. in London. They should be able to see a small sac at 5 weeks. If not, call GP and tell them your concerns and get HCG 48 hour blood test done to check your levels are doubling. Good luck š¤
I don't think my local one has an EPU, I can't find anything online just the maternity assessment unit but I thought that was 8 weeks+? Thank you, I'll give them a ring Monday

Iām currently 12 weeks had heavy bleeding at 6 weeks went hospital turns out I have a heart shaped uterus baby is on the left and on the right I have tissue from last period that didnāt fully shed and kept bleeding on and off for 2 weeks . If you are worried go to A&E they will send you gynae and the next day you get a scan.

If they give you a scan it will be internal scan, a camera on what sorry looks like a dildo š¬ that is able to see the baby and see if the sack is leaking ect
Oh wow really? That's crazy, I've read about a low lying placenta what can cause it but nothing like that. Happy everything turned out okay for you! Yeah i think I'll call the maternity unit in the morning and see if they can help, I really don't fancy taking my 9 month old to a&e with me for hours

Most maternity ward (uk) advise go to A&E as most donāt see you unless 16 weeks which isnāt fair but itās how most nhs hospitals do it

For my local EPU, you have to be referred to by your GP and they check you for ectopic pregnancy with early bleeding. I had blood tests and came in for a scan the next day. Everything turned out to be fine for me, wishing you the best and sending love ā¤ļø

When I was 5 weeks pregnant with my son I had bleeding and some light cramping for a few days my OB had me go to the ER to make sure it wasnāt an ectopic pregnancy. Everything was fine and I now have a healthy happy 7 month old the bleeding didnāt effect the rest of my pregnancy in any way

I'm in the same situation, it sucks that the symptoms of miscarriage can also just be normal pregnancy symptoms. Really worried.
I called 111 and spoke to an out of hours gp
@Charlotte oh lovely, im so sorry to hear that. I hope everything goes good for you. It's horrible isn't it x
