Currently 34 weeks and I feel like I’m experiencing so much pain! Cramps in lower abs and back, butt muscles, leg, and get very hot at times. Getting comfortable at night is a nightmare. The cramps are so bad they bring me to tears, andy back constantly aches everywhere. Any advice on how to cope with this? I feel like it’s driving me nuts and making me feel sad. How are y’all feeling if you’re experiencing the same?

i will pray for you sis! Its so hard and trying to stay positive! Here if you need to talk❤️

I currently got to physical therapy because of this and sciatic pain. I was shown different exercises to help shift weight to get pressure of some nerves. I know you’re close to the end but I would definitely ask to be recommended to a physical therapist.

From what I was told is working out in the early stages throughout your pregnancy helps because it strengthens all the muscles that will be hurting later on when baby grows more and more. I notice my 1st pregnancy I did no physical activity and was hurting so bad everywhere. Now with this pregnancy I would do light weight lifting in my legs, arms, back and other muscles. I notice the pain I have in body is not as bad as my 1st pregnancy. I know your late in ur pregnancy but maybe stretching and try to do some light weight activity can help alleviate the pain in ur muscles. Also I take lots of warm baths and it helps with the cramps too.

I have the same 🤦🏻♀️

Sorry to hear what you’re going through 😔 I have a few natural recommendations to help alleviate the pain & heat if you’d like to try : some gentle stretches (check out some prenatal yoga online if interested), massaging body with some almond oil followed by warm/cool bath, practicing deep breathing( inhale for 6, exhale through mouth for 8 secs), eating warm cooked foods with healthy fats (soups, stews), avoid dry/raw/cold foods for a couple of days. I’ve studied Ayurveda which is a form of alternative medicine. Each body is different & it gets harder towards the end of pregnancy too. Hope you feel better soon ❤️❤️

this is so helpful, thank you!

thank you so much! This is great advice!

thank you! Are they expensive? I heard they can be

Depends on your insurance I have a 4 dollar copay and I go every week to every other week. There are also some good stretches and exercises on YouTube.

Pgp. I’ve had it since 24 weeks and was put off work due to pain. I’m doing PT but the only thing that helps is resting. I literally can’t walk much and only pick like 1 or 2 chores to do a day if I’m feeling okay. Allow your body to rest for like 3 days for it to distress and then after that take it slow stopping as soon as you start to hurt even in the slightest. It is manageable if you take it slow

Hi ladies, I’m a physical therapist who takes a holistic approach on treating the body, meaning I look at how all the parts are supposed to work together, I don’t focus on exercise.
What you all are sharing is a lack of mobility in the body which is placing too much load and compression on your mid backs and forcing your pelvis to stay “stuck”. I’ve experienced quite a few phases of this as my uterus was placing too much strain up into my ribcage and sternum. I highly recommend using heating pads throughout the day to open up your left side and reduce the asymmetries that are currently taking place in your body. Gentle massage of your left thigh, side of your hip, and if tolerated (there should never be pain when working the correct spots), the side of the left ribcage. You can utilize a massage stick to perform gentle cycles of this throughout the day, gentle pressure is all that is needed to begin desensitizing your body’s compensation patterns. I hope this begins to help ❤️

Cramps are usually caused by dehydration and muscle fatigue so resting and hydrating will help.
Soreness is often just caused by muscle growth and so you should ice any sore muscles when you’re in a lot of pain and take Tylenol if you need it.
Otherwise unfortunately the best thing for sore/tired muscles is actually to use them so they get stronger. So stretching, walking as much as you can tolerate, etc will help you feel better in the long run.
