My girl is 8 months tomorrow. When she hit 7 months she’s started on the first wake of the night usually around 10pm which has always been normal for her but now not going back down in her cot. I’ll get her to sleep again and then within 10 mins max she’s crying so we’re co-sleeping the majority of the night (we follow the safe 7 steps) which I do love but at the same time wonder if this is happening/happened to anyone else and they went back to sleeping better again independently? We’ve not yet put her in her own room but I feel like that’s not the issue as she’s waking and wanting me even when I’m not in bed.

Could it be that she's not got enough sleep pressure? I'd play around with her naps, bring them earlier etc and see if she sleeps better. We don't cosleep but when my boy was that age, if we put him to bed earlier he'd wake often throughout the night. We changed to a 8.30/9pm bed time and he sleeps a solid 9 hours now (just turned 1 but he's been sleeping well for the most part since about 8 month) x

My daughter was waking at 11:30 every night right as I wanted to go to sleep so I started making sure I was in the bedroom from 11 awake so that I could turn her white noise on when she started to stir. Then she would settle right down. It took about 5 days of me doing this every night for her to not wake up at that time anymore
