BreastFeeding/Sleep Slots

Feeling a bit confused. So I’ve seen a lot of women say how they’re only breastfeeding every 2-3 hours throughout the day. My LO is 10 wks and I feel like he BF’s from me more frequently than that… for those feeding only every 2-3 hrs, are you following feeding cues or just sticking to a certain time? And does it help with your LO sleeping through the night? My LB seems to be sleeping for 3/4 hrs and then up every hour after that 🫠

I feed on demand during the day.

Don't worry I feed on demand and my little one averages 6-7hours on me feeding a day. 🫠
I suspect he isn't always feeding and just comfort eating. But he's a bit of a velcro and if he knows he's near my boobs he'll want them.
I'm honestly so jealous of 2-3 hours 😆be my dream to getting my life back! But every baby is different. My friend made a brilliant point in saying 'look at cats, they just lay there and feed their kittens, they don't get up and clean the house and cook meals '

My LO is 10 weeks and I feed on demand which can sometimes be every hour in the day and at night she’s only going 3-4 hours between feeds! X

it is exhausting but he's a little man. I had low paap a during pregnancy and his predicted weight of 8:9lb became 6lb and a half at birth. Then he had tongue tie and cmpa which caused him to drop percentiles to the 1st so I think he's trying to make up for it. Just cutting out soy to see if that also helps him chonk up a bit. But he might just be a thin long thing 😅
It's not forever which is what I tell myself. The first few weeks was hell and I was crying so many nights (realise tongue tie really effected that) and it's so much easier now then it was then.
It kinda went he ate all day and slept through the night so that was a perk. Now he's sleeping from like 7pm to 3am which isn't so fun 🤣

@Lulu breastfeeding is a labour of love. I express too. We are smashing it. The amount of feeding times is soooo different.

well done on expressing! We try to get one expressed bottle done a day to give me a break. Lost my mojo on being about to pump recently but been able to get it back up again. Think we're going to instead have hubs give him it at 3am so we know he's getting a big feed in and he's not doing what he did this morning which was waking up at 4 and not letting me put him down until I handed him off at 7 to hubs 😅
it's swings and roundabouts isn't it. I'm glad I've found another 6-7hourer. Should set our two up to have a chat 🤣

I most definitely feel like a cat myself most days 😂 brilliant comparison!

I feed on demand and it’s like every hour or hour and a half during the day but only one feed in the middle of the night.

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
