My cousin would wake in the night for milk until she was 3, she would wake up and shout MILK. This continued until they put water in the bottle and she stopped waking for it

Oh God I thought I was alone. My 20 month old does this. But she doesn't have a good appetite for food during the day, which is more frustrating

This but with breastfeeding, had bitten the bullet and fully weaned her at night by only offering water or offer to carry her/rock her. Took a few days of screaming and early morning wake up because she refused to go back to sleep without it but she got the point after about 2-3 days. But we just got over RSV and she wasn’t able to sleep without it and she wasn’t eating so she had the boob on demand, so she back to wanting it in the middle of the night. Now have to start the process all over again because we both need our sleep.

Have you tried doing one right before bed?

Mine isn't night weaned at 21m, still breastfed though so wayyy easier than bottles. Got no advice but just here to say it is normal!!

We just got over night time bottles, we reduced by 10mls each night and made them with less formula and not as warm so they weren’t as ‘yummy’
It worked within a couple of weeks
Also I now keep his sippy cup with water here so he has access to that if he wakes but now he sleeps through the night
Also more food, lots of filling stuff especially for dinner (this was advice I was given)
