Would you allow your kids to watch you give birth?

Is it weird that I want my grown daughter to be in the delivery room with me?!!

Not weird at all! It beautiful! My 4th baby I had at home with my other kids there as well. Birth is natural and exciting and as long as you are comfortable then I say go for it! She will cherish that moment.

Not weird at all… My girls were only 13 and 11 and then again 14 and 12 when they were in the delivery room. It’s a beautiful experience. My oldest cut her brothers umbilical cord.

I wouldn’t call it weird at all, I’d love my 11 year old to be at the birth of this baby, unfortunately I can’t make any definite plans because I don’t know if it’ll be a birth she should be at (I had massive bleeding with my daughter and only just escaped an emergency c section because she didn’t want to wait for the ten minutes it took my consultant to be ready 😂 They came back to take us into theatre and I was pushing)

I’m going to wait and see how things go and if suitable, she’ll be given the choice of being there

the “child” is 20 🫠😑

Not weird plus she's older she might want to see what happens lol. That's 1 of the reasons families choose to birth at home rather than in a birthing center.

Whatever makes you feel comfortable x

I don't think it's weird at all. If your child want to be there why not. Mine wanted to but she was too young she's 7 and understands and also wanted to be there with me but age range was too young. As long as your child wants to I say let them especially if you want them their.

No

At 20 no. Lol like younger to me yeah that be weird. Heck you may keep her from wanting kids for awhile after watching you , win-win. Haha

I’m an odd man out because my girls were both under 5 when I had their brother. It was a beautiful experience and they still talk about it with gratitude. I also had my mother in law, aunt and a friend. Now I am a doula so this kind of thing is fairly normal for me and my views. Women used to birth with a group of women my their side for centuries.

Avatar

Not weird, it just depends if she wants to or not!

Avatar

No, she is family. She is grown on top of that. She is welcoming a new member of the family

Avatar

I don't think it's weird as long as your daughter is old enough to handle it, and is wanting to be there.

I think it’s awesome! Mine and my husband will be with me in the L&D room!

birth is the most natural thing there is. If it's not a high-risk pregnancy, I think it would be a beautiful thing for an older sibling to be part of.

THAT PART 🥳🥳🥳

They did

Avatar

I think it's a great idea!

Avatar

I would personally say it’s a little weird 😅. But honestly it depends on culture, background, personal believe and their level of comfort ♥️ to influence the final decision.

Avatar

That's not weird at all my mom helped me with my birth my mom is 60 so I highly doubt that she'll have another kid and she doesn't want any she said four unmedicated births was enough for her but if for some reason she did magically have one more for sure I'd be there to rub her back when the back labor kicks in

Lol I had my 5 year old in the room for her sisters arrival and she was more comforting then the father

Anyone had a super early postive ?

Hi am i seeing things ? It's only 6 dpo. I had a chemical pregnancy start of February then a period then a positive ovulation strip a week ago Could this be the left over after the chemical ? It just seems so early. This is an early detection test. This came up within 2 minutes of dipping and it says to wait 3 minutes. I've taken two after that arnt as early detection but still what I think are faint positives ? All appeared withing the recommended time frames xxx

At 8DPO negative test result

At 8 DPO not even a faint line , a straight negative test . So does that means it’s a no pregnancy for me this month . Or there are future chances for hcg to rise

Negative at 8dpo

Has anyone had a negative at 8dpo and ended up pregnant after?

Sadly Desperate

I’ve been a step mom for over 6 years now and it seems like this year it has all went to hell. My relationship with my step kids, my feelings as a stepmom and everything else in general. I love my husband and he supports me every way he can I just don’t have anyone else in my situation that can help or understands what I’m going through. If anyone is willing to listen or just give their thoughts I would greatly appreciate it 💜
