Dressing gown

I was thinking of taking my dressing gown in my hospital bag but its just taking up lots & lots of space. Did anyone actually out find it useful, part of me is thinking if I have to stay in my partner can just bring it from home

I didn't, both times. Found the ward absolutely boiling 🤣

I took a thin cotton one. I only used it to throw over a vest top when walking around. Definitely not needed to keep warm - it’s so warm in there!

I've got a little bag of things I'm going to leave in the car while we are in hospital (including a dressing gown) Just few things that I'm not sure if I definitely will want, but feel better having them there if I do need and my boyfriend can just nip out and grab them :)

I took a really thin one and still didn't even wear that. Paediatric wards are soooo hot to keep the babies warm x

I wore mine into the hospital as there was no space in my bagšŸ˜…

The thermostat in our room at the hospital said 28 degrees. They are boiling.
I took a short, light cotton one to throw on over the top of a strap top and shorts when walking around. I couldn't even face wearing long PJ's.

I took my long dressing gown and wore it everyday (I ended up being in hospital for 5 days). My blanket and dressing gown were probably the 2 things which made me most comfortable and if I have another baby they’ll be the first things I pack

Wore mine to the hospital and used it as a comfy blanket and extra pillow sometimes on the recovery ward šŸ¤£ā¤ļø

I took a thin dressing gown and it was a godsend as I was induced so had to keep having vag exams and I could just stay naked under it and spread the legs when needed ! šŸ˜‚ x

I wore my dressing gown every day I was in. I wore a nightie and would have felt really exposed if I didn't have it to put on when walking around at night. I was in 12 days.

I took my dressing gown and did wear it the whole time, I think it’s more of a comfort thing. I always would where one at home so it was comforting and glad I took it as ending up staying for one night.

I took a thin one as its so hot in there, I wore it after baby was born so I could just skin to skin and cover up whenever I needed to go toilet etc it was much easier than clothes x
