Anyone else get SO nervous for the anatomy scan? Mine is tomorrow and I'm so anxious. I'm excited to see the baby of course but I'm so scared they'll find something wrong with her. My mom says "Oh you won't care if she has a defect or anything like that" and I'm like uh.. I'll care if she's not healthy. If there's something wrong and she won't make it. I had a miscarriage before getting pregnant this time and a whole lot of bleeding in the first trimester so I guess I'm just having a hard time imagining that things will be okay.

You’ve been through a lot already, it sounds like, and your anxiety seems very normal. I had similar feelings at the time.
Try to trust that everything will be okay and that you’ll make the best decisions for you and your family should any concerns arise in relation to the scan.
One thing that has helped my anxiety during pregnancy and postpartum has been saying positive affirmations. The one I use most often is “My baby is healthy and strong.” It might help you to repeat a similar message.
Best wishes for you and your little one 💕

@Julie thank you 😊

I felt the same, it’s important to remember they might ask you to come back if they can’t see everything perfectly and that can be so normal because babies don’t do as they’re told! I was in for so long because my son wouldn’t show one last part of his heart and the lady was so determined to get it and I was the last patient of the day 😂 I had a scary high risk pregnancy and my anxiety was sky high the whole time but every day your baby is getting stronger and bigger and more compatible with life so try to focus on that ❤️
