Is 2lbs 11oz at 28 weeks small ?

When I was 37 weeks, my little girl was 4.10 pounds she came out fine, and the weight does not always mean they are not developing

the growth scans can be off by a pound (+/-) i think if baby was too small the doctor would’ve mentioned it and wanted to monitor you more/do another scan in the future. baby will grow a lot more in the last trimester so i wouldn’t worry too much! as long as they’re gaining weight, everything should be okay.

My baby they said is a good size of 3lbs at 28w +3days at like 75th percentile. I think your is normal and probably just in the 65th percentile or something. They definitely would have told you if the babies weight was a concern! You have more time to go and more time to grow.

When I was 27 weeks my baby was about 2.5 pounds so I think baby is right on track. Baby’s grow at their own rate the numbers that they give are just estimates because each baby is different. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’m 31 weeks and my baby is about 3.5 pounds now.

When I was 28 weeks my baby was 3lbs 4 ounces. They’re also just estimates so unless your dr told you something I wouldn’t be too concerned

My babe was estimated 3lbs 6oz in her growth scan at 31 weeks but was born that same week & weighed 2lbs 15oz. She’s definitely small but the growth scans are usually off!

When I went for my growth scan at 28 weeks she weighed 3lbs but every baby is different. They say my baby is longer and is measuring a week bigger so I’d say you aren’t too far behind and it’s nothing to worry about mama! 🫶🏼

Mine was 2 pounds 14 ounces at my 29 week scan. Was told it was very normal at 30 percentile

You guys had a growth scan? I haven’t had that. I’m almost 32 weeks

I only had another scan because they were checking to see if my placenta previa had improved

I have an anterior placenta and they haven’t done a ultrasound since 24 weeks when I didn’t feel her move for 10 hours

I was referred to maternal fetal medicine for growth concerns at 26 weeks, but by week 30 she had a growth spurt and went from 5% to 25%. All that to say a lot can change in a short time!

Those measurements are very subjective After 20 weeks. At 41w5 days they said I measured 6lbs 4oz. Next day I gave birth to baby at 8lb 1oz. Don’t stress!
