St Pete Playdates (6-12 months old)

My name is Kate; I am a stay-at-home mother of an adorable (almost) 8-month-old baby girl.

You have a precious baby of 6-12 months, and you want to meet more mamas with babies for playdates?
Then, please, let's go on a playdate! Both baby and mom shall have some fun. And hopefully, create long-lasting friendships.

*** Babies' age is just a suggestion so the babies have similar milestones and needs.

I love spending time outdoors with my baby, so I suggest Venoy Park, St Pete. Lots of parking, fresh air, plenty of free space. All you need is your and your baby’s snacks and drinks, something to put on the ground (I'm using a light queen-size quilt), and the toys. All the rest is up to you: sunscreen, mosquito repellent, hats, shoes, etc.

If interested, please put your preference down weekday/weekend and time. Let's see if we can all get to gather or if we should meet up in smaller groups due to the schedule difference.

RTW- Maternity Policy

I’m supposed to be returning to work in June however, don’t know if I want to yet. I’ve read in my maternity work policy that if I was entitled to enhanced maternity pay as well as statutory (which I was), if I leave my job while on maternity leave or within 3 months of being back then I will have to pay the enhanced maternity pay back to the company. Has anyone else experienced this and how do the payments work please?

Sad Relationship with my Mom

I'm feeling so lonely lately being in a new country without any family. I reach out to my mom daily, but we haven't been close since I was in high school. She's not very involved in my life nor my son's (2yr). We lived under the same roof until a few months ago, but even then, she mostly kept her distance. My grandma is very much the same and bed bound. I don't know what I expected, but I am so sad about it. I wish I had a mom, aunt, older sister, or unrelated older woman friend to talk to. I see these relationships on TV and they make me so sad (and a bit jealous). Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Are you ladies bothered by your man having many female friends that are apparently as neutral as their male friends?

He’s had most of these female friends long before I met him so it’s not that I want him to discontinue their friendship, I just wish he wouldn’t text them often and such. I don’t believe he hangs out with them or at least not like one on one.. should I just chill and not be insecure? Side note, I did see only one conversation where they were not romantic per se but flirtatious..
