Yoga. It makes the baby move as you move

Sometimes if you roll on your side when they do scans, baby will move to different positions

Eat something sugary

Haha I literally had my scan yesterday and my baby was doing this and it took 40 mins for us to be able to determine the sex! I ended up going to eat a chocolate and came back and then laid on my side while the scan was going on and finally were told we’re having a girl! 🥰

Bribe them

@Dray congratulations! 🩷🩷

Start the scan with a full bladder, if that's how they want it. Then go pee. That's how my first decided to stop being proper lol

Avatar

They told me to jump up and down on the spot before x

Fizzy drink, I drank way too much and poor baby had hiccups through the whole thing 🥹 felt so bad!xx

Luckily you have a proper baby. Mine let's himself hangout for ever scan...im only 36 weeks pregnant and he has no care in the world at all 🤣

Blood test!

Avatar

@Erika sorry but what do you mean by bribing the baby to uncross their legs. I'm confused 🤣

Avatar

🤷🏽‍♀️ Bribe them. Plead. Beg.

Avatar

Probably won’t work but worth a shot

Chocolate bar… Mars!! Always worked for me lol x

Avatar

Fizzy didn’t work for me, but the minute I had pure orange juice or apple juice, we had loads of movement. Think the emphasis is on the sugar element as some have said! Exciting though, let us know!

Avatar

Drink something sugary before you go! Also my tech had me lay on my side and that’s when she got a clear view!

Avatar

I had to do a wiggle on the bed to get him to move his arms so the sonographer could see his lip. Worked lol! He was such a wriggle bum though. Started off laying sideways, head towards the sonographer and feet to my partner, and ended up head down and bum up just as she wanted to take some pictures for us, would not move so we got the creepiest pictures haha! All skulls and eyeballs.

Avatar

The ultrasound tech recommended that I should drink some juices (orange juice or any juices) 10mins before the scan, and a full bladder to get more movements out of the baby. Our boy was just sleeping the whole time during our 12 weeks scan and refused to budge 🤣

she's talking about a baby scan?

I understand she’s talking about a baby scan. It’s a joke.

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Would you bring 9 week old to a family party of 35+ people?

These are also people who will want to pass the baby around and get a turn to hold him. He just got his 2 month shots two days ago

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲
