I brought the Elvie last week after using the Medela hand pump and I have to say it’s worth every penny. The fact you can pump discretely and do other things at the same time is bliss compared to being sat down with a hand pump. It is a lot of money but I think it does make life easier. At the moment there’s offers on for Black Friday so I saved around £70 on the single pump. X

I got a momcozy s12 yesterday, half price on Amazon around £35. great for being able to move around but battery needs charging about once a day which caught me out. Got a haaka ladybug too which is great to catch the other boob.

@Mel this is what I was thinking of doing - thanks so much for the feedback 👍

My partners Nan brought me a Tommee tippee one that looks exactly like the elvie one but only cost me £200 I only used it once but I just couldn’t get my supply in well enough and decided to formula feed. If you’d be interested in buying it off me for cheap message me 😇

Definitely recommend the Momcozy m5.

Another for momcozy!

Can you sterilise Elvie in the steam steriliser?

So i have tried the tommee tippee manual pump which wasnt great i then i bought the buby electric pump, it was £100 from boots but i didn't realise you had to hold it on. I then bought
Breast Pump Electrical Wearable, Plainless Hands Free Breast Pump, 2 Modes & 9 Levels with LCD Display, Low Noise Rechargeable Wireless Protable Breast Pump with 21mm/24mm Flanges (White 2PCS)
From amazon, it £55 just now and it is fab it fits inside your bra. It lasts about 5 or 6 sessions before you need to recharge but it is well worth the money

I used the Elvie pump and I’d highly recommend it. I was having to express and you can do it on the go. It fits into your bra and makes life easier. You just can’t bend down as the milk expressed tends to leaks out of the container. I put the components in the steam steriliser and just washed the actual pump carefully with little brushes and a cloth. I bought mine on eBay for £100 so I’d have a look as there’s plenty on there x

As well as electric pumps I also recommend the Lansinoh - Silicone Manual Breast Pump it’s amazing you put it on the one boob when feeding on the other I collect about 30ml a feed at the moment do it 2/3 times a day

I have the Wren wearable pumps and they’re great! Been using them daily for about 5 weeks now, no issues at all 😊 got mine on Vinted for cheaper than new

im not sure to be honestly, I’ve been cold water or steam sterilising. Sorry I can’t be more help! 😊
