Hello, I am looking for a job in Virginia where I can stay home with my baby, or bring her with me. Any ideas ??

Any kind of administrative work or call center jobs (insurance, customer service, consulting, etc) really usually provide remote options. If you’re into finance, you can also work remotely. I do finance and work remotely mostly, especially since my pregnancy.

I work remotely from home as an insurance agent. It’s a w-2 position plus commission. I came into the company with my license but they do hire people who are unlicensed and pays for them to take the course and exam

what company if you don’t mind asking… I have my license from California so I would just need to transfer it…

While you are trying to find something, you can do Rev.com for transcription. I hear it's a lot of work and you probably couldn't life off of that money alone but some money is better than no money while you arr trying to figure it out.

what kind of finance position do you have ?

Accounting

I’m a CPA do you find your position manageable with your LO?

Honestly, it’s been difficult. The company I work for has a heavy workload for me and crazy mismanagement in my opinion, but I am thankful for remote/telework options since Covid. It makes things easier in terms of commute. I am looking for a smaller company that may not have the same intense business needs though, but it’s rough because I have to consider maternity leave and insurance as well.

I know the feeling I moved here from New York and I can’t believe there’s no mandate on maternity leave.

what insurance company and how long does it take to take the course ?

is this allowed to take your own kids with you now?

it has always been allowed in my county. I am 31 and my bus driver had a baby on the bus. As long as they are 6 weeks and older they are allow. And as many kids as you have. One of my coworkers has 5 under 5 on the bus.

Wow lol cool

I work for assurance IQ but there is also a company called TTEC that does the same thing. They pay for the classes and the exam and you get paid while you are studying. It takes two weeks for courses then you schedule the exam.

You don’t have to have any insurance experience. I had 10 years of life insurance experience but didn’t have any health insurance experience and I started this year with them.

is the exam online too because I dont have a car so that would be nice?

what company (program) did you use to study with? I'm thinking about getting my license as well.

I used to love when bus drivers would have their babies on the bus 😭💕 so cute
