As someone who hates consumerism, I gift usable toys or experiences! So for my 2yr old son, we got him a balance bike ($50 rn on Amazon), a few sensory toys like stepping stones for the living room, an indoor slide and then his god mom got him a few toys. We’re also putting him in a toddler gymnastics/tumbling class he’ll go to weekly. I also might get him the wooden climbing set I found someone selling on marketplace. But I hear ya! We also do the lovevery kits for him and my 8mo old so we’re just getting a couple things to open on Christmas. Probably gonna hit the dollar section somewhere and get mini things to wrap just cause he likes to unwrap things 😂

My toddler already has too many toys too. I try to buy used toys from Facebook marketplace (there are so many toys that are barely used out there. You can always wrap them up anyway. Some items that my kid has liked are the little trampoline (sometimes these sell for ($20-30 on FB), the set to “cut” and sort veggies and fruits, a small kitchen set, books, washable “dot” markers, items to help me in the back yard with the plants and dirt, a swing… Also, I don’t expect to get her anything specifically for Christmas. She’ll get a gift from her grandparents and aunt and uncle.

If they love coloring and art maybe a set of crayons in his name https://jacobsfamilybusiness.etsy.com

I’m doing a water color mat, a floor lamp with fish in it where the color changes. A rain stick, a microphone, Water color drawing pads. Books, clothes and a light up snowflake wand for my daughter. Then some clothes.
