Employment Background Check
Hello, is anyone familiar with employment verification background checks?
I’m currently in the process of being hired for a potiental position and waiting for my background check to be completed. An issue I’m having is that one of my past employers are unreachable due to them being out of the country for unforeseen family matters and I don’t know when they’ll be back.
For context, 3/4 of my past employers verified my employment. Will this one issue cause me to fail my background check? I’m so anxious because I worked hard for this new job 😔

I would just be upfront with the employer that this is the potential challenge! Every employer is different- but if they know the situation and you’ve gotten to this stage would presume no issues !

I would say it's nothing to be worried about. If 3/4 of your previous jobs are verified, and you are upfront, they must be understanding as they are humans too.
And if they don't, i'd say you should be happy that you dodged a bullet, as such a company will probably have a toxic culture
