Alahna is how I'd spell it but Alana is a close second. My niece is Elaina and I've seen Alaina, but I do think "Alana" could easily be mispronounced as "Alaina" so I'd throw in the H to make it sure it's ahhh and not ayyy

Alorna

Elorna or alorna my midwife in hospital who birthed my baby had elorna said the way you want xx

My oldest is Alana, pronounced as “Alaina” but anyone who is not family related pronounces her name as “Alahna”, for 3 years I have been so guilty on her name and wondering if it really is uh lawn uh but seeing @Kylee comment truly made me feel relieved thank you

Alorna

I have a friend Alana and it's pronounced ah lan a. Nobody ever says it differently

I’m surprised to see Alorna I feel like that has completely different pronunciation, I got this name from the little mermaid since it’s one of her sisters it’s spelled Alana is pronounced uh-lawn-uh, thank you for your responses

Same! I'd pronounce it exactly how it's spelled ah-lore-nah 😅

The mermaid on Ariel, alana, is pronounced a-lah-na. Like lana del rey but with an a

@Lydia lawn-uh and Lah-na sound the same to me tbh

Alauna is the right answer

I've had this conversation like 30x in my life about the name Alana. Dead set on uh-law-na

Law and La are different sounds. Alana- three letter As all pronounced similarly. If you want the aw/or sound it wouldn't be spelt Alana. I'm from the UK though so maybe accents play a part in this too. My vote is Alorna

@mama that makes more sense, I’m in the US and alorna sounds like ah-lore-nah reminds me of Alora, when I say law and la there’s no difference. That’s interesting tho😊

Lore and law sound the same in my accent which is why I and others were confused! but lah is a totally different sound. Alorna and alawna would be said the same
