No I didn’t, I had a c section in December 21 and fell pregnant after 2 months of trying in July 23 x

Conceived first cycle after coming off contraception, 9 months after my c-section

Probs conceived about 3-4 months after trying again xx

Avatar

God no! Conceived 6 months after my first.. then 7months after my 2nd.. I wasn't even trying 🤦‍♀️

This is great to hear! I read that a c section scar can make it harder to conceive again so Thank you ladies, you've eased my mind x

Definitely eased my mind too!! X

3x c-section mom here… my kids are three under three, so I’d say no problem 😂

I’ve got three 3 and under! There’s 13 months between oldest and middle, and 13 months between middle and youngest.

My mum had 3 babies almost back to back all cesareans.
I don’t see how a scar on the uterus would affect your ovaries from releasing an egg, getting fertilised, and attaching to the uterine wall

Avatar

I am happy to hear this all too. I had my c section 9.5 months ago but haven’t had a period yet. I want to get pregnant again soon x

I had one period after going off birth control the second time around, and bam, pregnant again 😊

@Genevieve because of the scar tissues, we are cut open, leaving behind internal and external scar tissue, it is known to cause fertility issues for some women so it worried me, hence why I'm asking real people which has eased my mind :) x

Avatar

oh wow I had no idea cesareans could cause fertility issues 😱 I just assumed the only hinderance would be the internal uterus scar but it’s unlikely a fertilised egg would try to implant there (could happen of course but unlikely)
I thought whether you had c section vs natural birth didn’t impact when you got your period back either because that’s hormonal and ovary related not uterus related.
I got my period 3m pp after my emergency cesarean and I exclusively breastfeed.

Now I’m worried and I’m going to look into this more!

Avatar

@Genevieve yeah they don't really tell you which I think is naughty but I guess it's not priority at that time especially if emergency, I had really bad after care so I think I ended up researching a bit too much x

Avatar

oh girl! You understand the chaos then 😂 14 and 13 months apart over here.

Avatar

chaos is definitely the word for it. Wouldn’t go back and change it though. It’s a beautiful chaotic mess 24/7 😂

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Hey what are your current symptoms?

I’m 37+5

I’m pretty mobile still but anything over a hour or 2 and I’m in discomfort

Getting up from a sitting position is hard

Some of baby’s movements now are bordering on painful especially around my crotch/pelvis

I’m exhausted very easily and nap every single day

Can basically only breathe out my mouth now and I’m snoring and dribbling 😂

Standing in one leg is very painful 😂

Some waves of pain/ tightening but I regular and mild

Low period type aches

And I feel like a fire breathing dragon with this acid reflux

My nose is growing 😂

My fingers swell slightly and go numbs in my sleep so that and constant toilet breaks keep me up ( checked swelling with MW and consultant and all normal, not a worry)

I also do not want to be social in person like I’d rather everyone just be my penpal atm lol

What are your symptoms?
