My 3 month old has no routine at all. Last night she fought sleep, went down at 10pm and woke up 1 hour later - then cried all the way through to 5am. On a good day she will sleep between 11pm-1am and wake 8 hours later. In the last few weeks shes been waking every 3/4 hours again. Everywhere i read that she should have a routine - how do I even go about this? (Exclusively breast fed and feeding on demand - no routine for this either)

No help on the routine front (I’m sure you’ll get some advice on this) but don’t feel pressured into having one. Just do what works for you. We didn’t have a routine with my first, she eventually started napping as fairly consistent times at 10 months. I just let her sleep if she was tired, nothing ever seemed to improve her night sleep anyway 😂. She has a rough bedtime now at 22 months. My now 3 month old is the same. He seems to go to sleep about 7 but stays on me. All naps on me or in the carrier. Some night he seems unsettled and falls asleep at 12. I suppose what I’m trying to say is it all works out eventually and you can either just go with the flow if it works for you, or try and force a routine, but baby might not always follow it. Good luck!

Get up at the same time every day & a routine will naturally appear.

We follow a guide routine from BlissfulBabyExtert on Instagram, if you want routines then she has different routines for different ages. It helps as a guide if you’re struggling to get into a routine and she has lots of other advice on dropping night feeds etc. we’ve been following her routines since 8wks old and our lg has naturally fell into the routine anyway as we haven’t forced it on her. Some days her naps and feeds are slightly out or we have change for school runs etc but she always seems to get herself back on track. I don’t follow the timings for bath etc that’s a as and when for us and fitted in later. Hopefully that will give you something useful x
