Night terrors

Hi ladies, If anyone has any tips on how to manage night terrors, please please help! My 3yo sold is going on having them for a year now. We’ve tried the waking him up to try and interrupt the REM cycle, we’ve looked at his diet, reduced tv time and changed what he watches. He gets so violent he’s given himself multiple blood noses from hitting himself or crashing into his bed.

My son had these and found out it was linked to him being overtired and dehydrated / overheating, doctor advised us not to wake him but to bring him into room with light on / cold floor etc and put cold compress on him to gently wake him from it on his own. My son was hospitalised a few times til we figured out what triggered it x
