Anyone have experience delivering with the midwives at Methodist Willowbrook? I’m currently supposed To deliver at Texas women’s off Fannin but I’m a bit anxious at how far away it is. I’m in Copperfield. So debating on switching over to Methodist.
Any experience at either hospitals would be helpful insight. Thank you!!!!!

Texas women’s midwives are amazing! I was supposed to be with them but I had high BP and I ended up being in the care of a OB in the same office (she was horrible).
I heard good things about willowbrook Methodist. I personally chose Texas women’s due to it being in the medical center incase something happens where I needed extra medical attention.

Texas women’s has midwives?! I’ll need to look them up. I’m so sorry your OB was horrible. Thank you for the info.

Texas children’s women’s pavilion has them. They are on the same floor and office as the OB’s.

Had my birth at Texas Women's - I've also heard their midwives are amazing from co-workers! I had an OB and had a good experience overall. During delivery, a whole team was ready in the room - each time I looked around, I was like "where did all these people come from?!" Lolol make sure you have a support person with you because sometimes the docs/nurses are too focused on the baby and it's helpful if someone is there focusing on mommy during delivery and can point it out to the medical personnel if something seems off. Other than that, everything went smoothly and everyone was kind and helpful in recovery

Thank you!!

I’m in copperfield and i chose texas women’s midwives for my delivery. I wish it was closer like methodist, but God forbid something goes wrong during delivery I want to be in the medical center. That was ultimately my deciding factor, plus i’ve heard good reviews from people i know.

how did it go at Texas women’s? did you have the birth you envisioned? Did you have an OB or midwife? I am deciding between the midwives at willowbrook vs just making the drive to Texas women’s

hi did you end up having your birth at willowbrook? How was your experience there?

I had another uncomplicated and unmedicated birth so I am grateful. I went with the midwives at texas children and they were great 👍🏾

the only con was the drive there lol

thanks for getting back to me! So happy that it went well for you! haha yes that drive is the the only thing thanks again I’m going to go tour the birth center there

I gave birth at houston methodist willowbrook in 2024, it was completely unplanned because I had preeclampsia. But I was so grateful to be there, the team was amazing. My daughter did need nicu support because I gave birth at 35 weeks, but I felt like even the nicu was lovely! I liked that they had a private room with a sleeper couch for me to stay with her after I got discharged (i know Texas women’s has “pods” in their nicu and no place for parents to stay overnight if they choose to.
I am pregnant with our second and chose Willowbrook again without a second thought.
