Birth after C section

I’m debating about having another baby but I’m a little worried about birth.
I had a c section at 41+1 due to my baby being breech and they didn’t realise till last minute🤦🏽‍♀️
Is it true that if I was to have another baby and they don’t arrive by their due date I’d have to have another section?
Is having 2 c sections worse for recovery or has many of you had a successful VBAC?
TIA x

My boys are 14 months apart and I had a successful vbac with my second. I expressed my preference to my midwives at the time and I told them if I’d go past 41w I’d book an elective c section rather than an induction because the chances that’s gonna end up in a c section were higher. I went into labour at 40+3 . Feel free to ask me anything 💕

As long as you give your body time to heal, a VBAC is a possibility if you want one.

Having repeated sections isn’t bad either, just depends what type of births you want. Just remember elective sections and emergencies are very different to each other. I see lots of peanut mums say subsequent sections were easier recoveries than their first ones x

Due to size they’d likely schedule a c section for around / after your due date just in case so it doesn’t become an emergency c section. I never wanted a vbac so I never attempted but I’ve had 3 c-sections. Personally for me, each c-sections recovery was easier and easier

I have had five VBAC’s and was induced with three of them because I went past my due date and did not want to have any repeat c-sections. My inductions went smoothly each time.

Thank you everyone for your helpful advice! It’s definitely made me feel calmer about birth and more positive about potentially having baby no 2! X x

I’ve been thinking of doing the same.

My 1st section was emergency and healed better than the 2nd but everyone's different

I'm disabled in a wheelchair BTW so harder to heal as I have to use the muscles to transfer constantly. I tore stitches. 2nd probably didn't go as great by my own fault but not sure 🤷🏼‍♀️ they said they were shocked with my mobility, I was trying to move around out of bed within 2hrs

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
