No judgement please! For personal reasons, I want a c section. Anybody who has had one or is requesting one- when shall I do it?

As long as your baby is here safely that is all that matters.... doesn't matter how they get here as long as they are happy and healthy 💚
Just let them know you want a csection (don't let them take no for an answer if that is what you truly want) and they will look at how your pregnancy is doing and judge it from there for when to book it in 🙂
thank you lovely! It’s not something I’m taking lightly by any means, but doing it for my own health.
I have my 25 week midwife appointment soon, so I’m going to request it then x

Yes!! Do whatever is best for you and your baby 💚
Yeah just speak to your midwife and see what they say. Don't let them take no for an answer though if it's what you really want to do (some midwives try to steer you away from it thats all) x

A doctor booked mine in at my 12 week scan, but I think the only reason I saw a doctor was because I have EDS and had a difficult birth first time round. But yeah they can book them in pretty far in advance 😊xx

I've been requesting one from day 1 but no one is doing anything about it yet. They say I need to speak with the consultant first (even though I'm 'geriatric' they still try to push inductions). I'm keen to have a natural caesarian (it's in the hypnobirthing book), it's more relaxed and has some health benefits so you might be interested in reading into it too
Thanks for your replies, ladies! Seems that some of you have been told different things by your midwives. Hopefully those of you who have been denied end up getting the birth you want 🥰 I’m going to put my foot down and persist with it. I’m already receiving counselling through the NHS perinatal mental health team, so hopefully this goes in my favour 🙌 xx

I’m booked for elective c-section 4 days before my EDD. It’s quite late because if the baby comes earlier I’m opting for a pool birth. Normally it’s 1-2 weeks before EDD

I told midwife at my booking appointment I want a c section, I've finally got an appointment on 12th Jan to discuss it with hospital to ensure it happens. I think (but not sure) some hospitals try to leave the idea until mid way of pregnancy before confirming c sections. This is my 3rd pregnancy, my 1st elective. I do have medical reasons for it though. 1st was natural birth, 2nd was emergency c section (he wanted to be awkward getting out!)
