How much does your baby play?

My little girl is coming up 5 months on the 16th and I’m worried she doesn’t play all that much. She has the Fisher-Price mat which she kicks and squeals at when on it so she likes that and also a mat with things that dangle and she reaches and will touch and sometimes grab but it’s all so gentle and little and often.

I sit her up on my lap with rattles and stuff and she will happily grab but sometimes she will just watch me do it! She also seems uninterested at baby groups she just kinda looks around at everyone a little nervous.

Anyone else? She may just be a gentle girl but I’m overthinking it all!😵‍💫

My sons also 5 months on the 16th!! He’s exactly the same! He’ll hit the odd thing on his play mat but generally just puts toys in his mouth 😅 he seems more interested in watching me do the dishes than he does in his toys 😂 He falls asleep at every baby group and just seems super uninterested. I think it’s pretty normal at this age! X

same! Thank you for replying made me feel better xx

Exactly the same! Got myself in a bit of a tizz about this yesterday actually cos every class I take him to he's not bothered (just watches everyone) or gets unsettled and I have to cuddle him. Yet at home, he's smiling, blowing raspberries and happy to play. Totally different personality depending where we are!

same!! She is so happy at home but our she is like 😐 hah. Is your baby rolling yet? X

Is anyone’s babies rolling yet? X

yeah it makes me feel so awkward cos he's seems difficult out and about but he's maybe just a little home bird! Feel guilty taking him out to classes but it's also important for me to meet people!
He's rolled twice between Christmas and New year (belly to back) and not done it since. What about u? X

no my boy just doesn’t seemed bother about rolling at all he does try and lift his bum off the floor though with his feet x

I feel the same. I think it’s important for us to get out and about. Same rolled belly to back once!🤣

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
