Struggling

Is anyone else really struggling with their pregnancy. I’m a first time mum and I’m just finding it so difficult. I’m 24 weeks and I have absolutely no motivation at work - I’m a social worker and for the first time in my career I feel like I hate my job and feel so anxious when I’m there. My first three months of pregnancy I had terrible morning sickness which then settled but I feel like every week I have a new symptom and I’m finding it hard to love my new body. I can’t wait for my baby girl to be here and feeling her move every day is amazing but I just feel so guilty that I’m not enjoying pregnancy at all or that I’m being dramatic when you see other women breezing through it 🙁

I feel exactly the same charlotte. It’s such a weird time!

I’ve not enjoyed pregnancy so far either, I’ve been struck down with sickness too. Always feeling tired despite eating healthy going to the gym and sleeping plenty… it is frustrating! It’s good to vent though.. talk to your partner about it too. We’ve discussed booking a little trip to look forward to, if you can make sure you get things in the diary you’d enjoy!

I think most women don't like being pregnant! The only positive is all the special treatment you get and the relief of the 2nd trimester. I imagine the ones who have a great time aren't getting morning sickness or they're just fibbing about loving it so much 😉 I read that some women find it so difficult they need therapy and some find feeling their baby move totally horrifying. So try not to judge yourself and seek help if you need it xx

Also 24 weeks and struggling, like you for the first 3 months I was so so sick, then I briefly felt better but now I'm really struggling with back pain and my mental health regarding my body changing, stretch marks, bullseye nipples, eczema and I'm pretty sure alopecia on my legs and eyebrows?? It's a lot to wrap my head around. I can't wait for baby boy to be here!! I'm hoping antenatal classes and more regular midwife appointments help it speed along x

I'm 21 weeks and I'm truly struggling this time (3rd pregnancy). My other 2 were a dream all the way through. This time, got HG sickness which hasn't let up yet, frequent migraines, pelvic girdle pains since 16 weeks, long bouts of insomnia, and chronic fatigue to boot! Luckily my 1st born is now 18 years old, but my 2nd born is only 3.5 years old (both boys) so I have to manage his entertainment as much as I can. This time, expecting a girl and she's already making herself known rather proudly! I also have other symptoms I never had during my other pregnancies such as all body itching, blurry vision (hormones as confirmed by specialists) etc. I can't wait for her to be here so I can eventually have my body back to myself.

I'm not enjoying it at all either, I want the bubba but it's mainly been anxiety, depression struggles along with severe morning sickness and uti after uti, just been so stressed lately about everything

I've spoken to a few family members and they have said that they loved pregnancy but I'm convinced its hormones tricking them into wanting another one because I just don't feel it!!

I've not liked most of my pregnancy, even said to my partner I like being able to count down the weeks to my due date now that I'm 20 weeks instead of counting up 😂. I had a rant yesterday about how everyone says 2nd trimester is the easiest and you feel so energised and generally better!! Can someone tell my body that because my morning sickness has gotten worse, my PGP is at an all time high, I'm more anxious than ever and I'm back to going to sleep mega early because of the tiredness 😫!

This is my third pregnancy and I am the same, 0 motivation, feel like I'm constantly moaning about one ailment or another, hormonal and emotional and it just feels like it's going so SLOW. Can't wait for him to just be here already. X

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Would you bring 9 week old to a family party of 35+ people?

These are also people who will want to pass the baby around and get a turn to hold him. He just got his 2 month shots two days ago

Exercise 6 weeks after c section

What movement did people start to introduce? I won’t do anything too vigorous until I’ve seen the pelvic physio as I don’t want to compromise anything that may have been extremely weakened through pregnancy! But just wondering what types of classes/movement people started off with?

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲
