My partner is under the impression that we don't need to steralise everything as much once our baby turns 6 months?
He's also under the impression that because our dishwasher pops itself open once it's finished and releases all the steam from inside that our dishwasher would both clean and steralise...
Is he right? My life is 70% steralising right now 🫠😂

No! I would still sterilise even after been in dishwasher and your suppose to sterilise untill 1 year old! … dummies you can argue you can stop earlier and they are crawling around and putting hands and toys in there mouth anyway but anything that has there milk in needs to be steralsie still atleast 1 as it holds bacteria

Just bottles need sterilising until they're 12 months old. No need to sterilise everything else (weaning bits and bobs etc.)

I thought as much, was just hoping he might be onto something 😂 thanks lovely xx

I mean it’s your baby so it’s completely up to you but I’ve always sterilised till 1 … I have preemies tho so maybe it’s different? Xx

You don't need to sterilise with breast milk, just formula 😊
