Hey guys, so many of you girls asked for a birth story so here it is! Nothing fun at all unfortunately.
So on Sunday night I was sitting in a bath with period cramps when I noticed blood clots, got out and wiped to see more blood - looked like a show.
Called triage, where we went and we had a ctg which was good but ended up with an internal exam which showed 0.5 dilation.
Moved to the labour ward with very irregular contractions, where I was also told that in case baby does come early there isn't an incubator available for her in Glasgow.
We were then shifted to Stirling - Forth Valley Royal hospital. I was kept here for 2 nights, on antibiotics and I was given steroids in the legs to mature her lungs just incase.
My waters then suddenly broke too, continued with irregular contractions. I got moved to the antenatal ward where the 3rd night I ended up with a fever, high bp and baby had a higher than normal heart rate.
I was given fluids, medication and moved back to the labour ward with stronger contractions.
To bring the day on, doctors decided to induce me to avoid the baby having an infection as no matter how many times we tried, labour did not stall.
I got induced and laboured for hours (honestly so so so hard) only to find out cervix wasn't dialing at all. Doctors decided it was better to do an emergency c section as baby still wasn't happy.
C section went great and baby is here and thriving.
