Legally getting married!!!

My common-law husband and I have been together for 3 years. We have 2 beautiful children. So I don’t want a “big, white wedding”. I just want something small. Our parents, the kids and the 2 of us. We have an officiant already. What am I missing??? I have to find a dress. Do we do wedding favours still? The kids are going to be in the wedding too. I have their colours picked out. Anything that I’m “needing”? We’re just going to go out for dinner afterwards. Invite our officiant out - because we’re doing it at his house. I’m just… I don’t know what to do. Or what I’m missing.
