Switching formula

Hi mamas! My baby girl came 9 weeks early/31 weeks on June 1st and was in the NICU for 5 weeks. I combo fed for about 4 months after she came home and it became too much for me to handle. She was sent home from the NICU on similac neosure and that’s what we’ve been using with no issues. Well with inflation we can no longer afford it. Neosure is one of the more expensive formulas I know, but I was looking at possibly changing her to this. How do I go about that process? Can I just switch her over?

you can try a hard switch and just give her a bottle of new formula. I did this twice with my baby and it ended up being ok. You could also do it slowly but my pediatrician told me not to mix two different brands in one bottle because the weight and measurements are different. Another way to do it is for example if your baby drinks 4 ounces make a two ounce bottle of the old formula and feed and then make a two ounce bottle of the new formula and feed. The key, don't over think it!

We switched my son from Enfamil gentlease to the parents choice gentle with 0 issues
