I’m currently 53 hours into my induction at 40+1 for a medical issue. Has anyone had this long of an induction and still been successful?
Full story so far: I got here on Sunday night at 1.5 cm, -3 and got a foley balloon and misoprostol. I had terrible contractions all night. The foley balloon finally fell out and I was about 3 cm dilated. After that, contractions stalled and they administered more miso which didn’t do much. After that, I started pitocin for about 12-18 hrs which gave me light, not painful contractions. Then to try and increase progression, they broke my water and I got an epidural, which got me to 5 cm, -2. It’s been 18 hours since then and my contractions still aren’t strong enough.
I’m trying to stay positive but losing steam.

My induction was a total of 63 hours. I got my epidural at 4cm and the first hour it stalled but the nurses came in and started rotating me every hour between my sides and my back in a sitting up position. 12 hours later I was ready to deliver

Update: after this post, I was checked about 3 hours later and was at a 10. I pushed for 3 hours, but it turns out baby was OP and very large! I ended up getting an emergency c-section because I was exhausted.
