How are you getting your babies to play independently?

Mines good at idependant play but needs me in the room otherwise has a hissy fit that I’m not in the room

Our experience is it’s just happened naturally, I don’t think there’s any secret to it not that I know of 🤣 my girl will play independently really well and then will have enough and want my undivided attention again! I always feel guilty when she’s playing alone though so definitely pros and cons to both 🤣

My little girl will have moments of independently playing really well and then just wanting my attention non-stop. She's best if I spend a really engaged chunk of time with her in the morning doing some active play with lots of running around, climbing and tickling. What will happen is she'll get distracted by one of her toys (usually her stacking cups) and I will slide myself on to the sofa and read or watch vlogs (fairly family friendly but too boring for her) or I'll go clean up breakfast or something. If I do chores she does tend to find me quite quickly though.
