My baby started taking real steps on Christmas Eve and now seems to be walking everywhere! It's not a baby race though, some take longer or talk much sooner

My daughter still isn’t walking yet! She walks around furniture and with a walker or with us holding her hands, but just sits when we let go lol

My baby just started walking January 15th. Do not stress. Give her as much freedom to explore. Stand her against something she can hold on to and let her be. Stand her up and when she has her balance, step away. She will fall and that’s great because she will learn to get back up and her confidence will grow!

my pediatrician suggested that we don’t use a Walker because it doesn’t help to strengthen the muscles needed to walk. But do what is best for your household. 😊

Thank you ladies, I try to let her have her time to learn. But I do have a friend who had twins and are a couple weeks older and they started walking before 1. I’m in no rush, but I was wondering about other babies and if there at the same place as mine. I do try and practice with her. I don’t do walkers either because of the same thing that one of the girls said up here

I totally understand!! Babies that I know who are older and younger started walking much earlier than my daughter. The very day that I shared my thoughts with my husband, she started popping back up on her own then an hour later after witnessing how is easy it was for her to pop up from floor position, she started walking! It’s coming Mama and you are doing a great job! 💖✨

We started at 10mo and now at 14mo she is running

We started walking at 11 months and now he’s running everywhere. 😅

My daughter started walking at 8 months, was not expecting that 😂 now she's running, climbing, spinning, but don't be too concerned. They go at their own pace. My oldest didn't take his first steps until he was 14 months and wasn't consistently walking until 15 months. It's totally normal for alot of kids to not even start walking til 18 months. My son I really had to work with him on walking. My daughter not at all she just did it completely on her own one day. I was shocked cause she walked to me I thought she was cruising took me a second to realize she had both her arms out towards me and not holding on to anything.

My LO started a little late in my opinion, he just turned 15 months 2 days ago. He started trying in December and now he’s walking everywhere. His first steps outside his play area was towards a ballon (he loooveeesss ballon’s 🫠 lol
Maybe try finding something she really enjoyed that you can roll or push around? I was kicking the ballon around and he eventually stood up and went for it. Now he’s a pro.
Just remember you’re a good mom & things will happen when he’s ready.

My 15 month old isn't walking yet. He'll walk along furniture and walk when I hold his hands. He'll let go and stand for a few seconds but then sit down. He's so close to standing without assistance! He did take a single step yesterday and then fell and cried 😅 just keep at it and it's definitely not a race ❤️❤️❤️

Mine just started to take her first steps independently. She only does 4 to 5 steps, and then falls down. What seems to help her is walk her around the house with your finger. I have mine hold onto one finger walk with me.

She took her first steps dec 30th and is just now walking around the house!
I used to hold both her hands and have her try to get the ball or something , then we switched to one hand and now she’s walking on her own

Mine is trying but doesn’t have the confidence of letting go 🥹 but their is no rush

Mines started at 7 months. He’s In everything!

our ped says that some kids don’t really walk until 18m & it’s totally normal. My daughter walked at 11m & my son turned 1 a month ago & just started walking everywhere last week. So it varies from kid to kid. Don’t stress yourself out by comparing your child to another.

still not walking or independent standing 😩
edit: correction! she stands up when she doesn’t know she’s standing up and there’s been a couple times it’s looked like she was going to step but she just gets down to crawl

a lot can change over the next few weeks. She lacks nothing! 💖✨
