I literally googled the same thing today! Past couple days I’ve been having the same, a really strong tightening in my stomach that lasts a couple minutes, feels more uncomfortable than painful! I’m currently 24w x

I'm 25 weeks (third pregnancy) and have been having these for a while. I'm not worried at all, there's no regularity, no fluid loss, no 'pain' in the same way there is with a regular contraction - but, I typically get it 6-8 times day so I just mentioned it to my midwife today at my appointment and her advice was to keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks and if I'm still having the same amount or more I should ring triage and get them to do some monitoring and check my cervix. Xx

Same here i was starting to worry thanks ladies mine is always on the right side

@kala if its just on one side that might just be positional - sometimes when the baby moves to be in a certain place it can get really tight/hard in a particular spot. With braxton hicks it's more likely to be felt all over and around the bump, the whole uterus will tighten, it won't have the same pain level as a proper contraction but it will feel quite intense and can kind of take your breath away for a minute or two xx

I'm getting this a lot throughout the day and I'm only 22+5. I thought it was to be expected going towards the third trimester

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?
