No check since 4 months old?

The last time the health visitor came was when she she just turned 4 months. She’s now 7 months, I would of thought they would of wanted to check her around 6 months to see how she’s getting on with weaning. I’ve seen so many babies have 6 month check ins, is it just down to how you babies been or is it different in each area?

They won’t again till a year

It’s down to your area unfortunately. I had a 6 month check, my friend in another area hasn’t seen a HV since 8 weeks.
You can request to see them anytime you want though.

9-12m review and then age 2 :) you need to contact them if you want to speak to them, they only do extra visits if it is required

I haven’t seen my health visitor since my little was like 4 weeks I think or it could of been 8 weeks 👀 x

Thank you girls!! There’s nothing particular I’m worried about, just me being overly protective I think😅

I havent’t seen mine till 2 weeks mark. Now he’s 7 months lol but they said to reach out if we need anything but they won’t come back until 1 year mark

Each area has their own way of doing things I think! For me (Nottingham) they don’t see you from 8 weeks until somewhere 10-12months but they try see you before 1 latest, unless you request them to come out for whatever reason

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰
