Baby registry

Try not to stress too much, I was feeling exactly the same and then literally on the day of my shower I think at least 20 things were purchased. People are much more last minute than you might think.

For my shower some people bought things on my registry that were not marked as purchased. You will also receive gifts people just decided to buy that were not on your registry. And in my case, I have received a few gifts in the mail AFTER my baby shower that I was 100% not expecting! Also a lot of people will buy stuff up until the last minute.

Don’t worry! There’s a ton of last minute buyers and also people may be getting you gift cards, forgot to mark it as bought on your registry, found the exact same thing in an actual store, etc. I would give the benefit of doubt here. Others may have opted to do things that weren’t listed too. Just breathe and know you’ll be taken care of!

Things started getting purchased from my Registry a few days before my baby shower and then people also showed up with gifts that they didn’t know I had in there lol

i just had my baby shower sunday & only 25/75 things were bought on my amazon one.. 19/30 on target.. i’m 35w 4d & baby has a bunch of stuff i didnt need or ask for so i know how you feel ☹️ im appreciative but i wish more people just bought off the registries

Don’t stress at all!
I literally felt the same way and my baby shower was this past Saturday. When I say we were SHOWERED with gifts that’s what’ I mean!! Just get ready to sit pretty and enjoy your baby being loved on

Some people don’t get anything bought off their registries. Or don’t get bought anything at all. If you are really struggling call your local churches they get donated stuff all the time

I had lots of people at my shower buying things last-minute! A couple of people just printed a photo of what they had gotten us and put it in a card, among other gifts like clothes and books! I ended up also sharing the link on Facebook (my mother gave me some flack for it but I’ve personally ordered for a ton of friends who have posted theirs on socials, I figured it couldn’t hurt!) and we ended up getting gifts from some really unexpected people that way! The way I see it, if someone things that seems too “grabby”, then they don’t have to order anything haha

This is awesome 🥹 makes me feel much better guys! I wouldn’t stress about it too much if my boyfriend didn’t just get so much time off work😂 the world has not been in our favor 😂

like I mentioned in my post it’s not that it was expected of people, some people aren’t able to, and that’s okay. but it is what registries are for and it’s why we made one. I also mentioned I wouldn’t be so worried about it if my boyfriend didn’t just get so much unexpected time off work! There are others that need assistance much more than we do, I’ll leave the donation centers for them :)

It sounds like it was expected of people by how you went to an app to rant about it.

I wasn’t “ ranting”. I was simply asking other people’s experiences with their registry and mentioned why I was worried. Absolutely nothing wrong with my post. Sorry you took it the wrong way👍🏼

I totally feel you with feeling like the world hasn’t been in your favor. I hope you had some re assurance here. I literally have had the hardest time financially this last year and sometimes we just do what we have to do. People also go off registry requests a lot and I was SO not afraid to return them. People want you to use the things they get you so if it ends up being something you won’t use don’t be afraid to take it back, get a gift card and save it for things you find you’ll need as time comes. I ended up returning diapers, clothes, duplicates, and got almost $100 in target gift cards for post partum products I need and more diapers that fit the sizes we actually needed!

Ashlie have you joined your local Buy Nothing group on Facebook?? I was able to knock a ton of things off my registry list from things people were offering up in my group!! Could be a huge help to fill in gaps, especially baby clothes!
