Pram suit and car seats

I know that you can’t have baby in a pram suit and the car seat but how are people doing this?

I went to the shop it’s quite a drive away (25 mins) so I put baby incar seat no pramsuit got to the shops and had to take baby out the car seat put on pramsuit and then also take the pram cot. To then do the shop put baby back in car seat taking off the pram suit etc.

My car can’t take both the attachments for the pram and I can’t keep changing baby in the cold car.

yeah that’s why I have taken both the attachments. But it’s still an inconvenience and being alone and only having a 3 door car it is proving a little difficult to get it all in order. And eventually I’ll need to be able to do full shops but cannot if I’ve got a pram, car seat and travel cot attachment in there :) the warm blanket doesnt fill me with change fence to be able to keep baby warm especially in this weather 😢

Surely a minor ‘inconvenience’ to you is better than the alternative of an awful fit of the car seat because you couldn’t be bothered to take the pram suit off?
Surely a pram suit is not needed if you’re going into a supermarket anyway? Just a jumper.
When baby is older they can sit in the trolley so you won’t need to take the pram with you at all.

I wouldn't bother with a pram suit in a super market I'd just blanket and hat them and make sure they have something warm on like joggers and a jumper

obviously my baby’s safety comes first, I was simply asking if there was another way around this. Meaning something more comfortable/warm they can wear in the car seat to make it quicker and then I could always put baby in baby carrier if we’re out for long period of times. I know when the baby is older but I’m talking about now. And where I live it’s not just park out side the one shop unfortunately, it involves an open/outside plan a little walk away from the shop. I feel like your message is a little passive aggressive, I’m aware of the danger hence the reason I asked a question about another way to avoid them.

yeah, I forgot I had a carrier but would make it so much easier now you mention it! It’s a little overwhelming following the rule and making sure things are safe for baby! Thanks for your suggestion! X

Then in short, no. There’s not another way around it.
Baby can’t wear outdoor clothes in a car seat so if you want to add layers it has to be done when you reach your destination and then removed again before they go back in the car seat.
Alternatively a blanket in the pram if you’re really not able to spend a couple more minutes changing them.

keeps getting better and better! Thank you so much!! Xx

Does your car seat not attach to the buggy? Xxxx

yes but I’d be worried he’s in it longer than 30 mins. :( xx

Sleeping position?

Does anybody else’s newborn sleep in an odd position? Or can anyone tell me why my baby does this? It looks super uncomfortable and no matter how many times I readjust him he goes back into this same position. He favourites the left side as well, he never does this on the other side.

First time mom issues

Ever since I became a mother, I get criticized for almost everything.

I breastfeed, and I constantly hear that “breast milk doesn’t fill the baby up” and that I should give formula.

I’m currently unable to work, and I hear things like, “This is America people don’t stay home with kids, put the baby in daycare,” even though I’ve applied and haven’t been approved yet.

My child feels safe enough to be herself when I’m around, and somehow that turns into, “The baby is too clingy you need to put her in daycare.”

When my baby cries, I drop everything to comfort her, and I’m told I shouldn’t do that because I’m “making her clingy.”

I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a mother, but God chose me to be this child’s mother, and I intend to give her all my love, care, time, and dedication. It is my mission.

I pray to God every day.

The life I imagined didn’t happen, but I am grateful for what I’ve learned in these past four months.

I’ve learned to speak softly. I’ve learned patience.

What more could I ask for?

Every day, I just thank God for sending me my little honey bun. 💛
