Hey I’ve grown up in Edinburgh and have a 4 month old baby ❤️ I recommend the zoo, the national museum is great , as it’s free and there’s lots of different lights and things that babies love to look at 🩵 The botanic gardens are also great but for it’s important to make sure you’re wrapped up🩵

My two faves while on mat leave - joeys class at the zoo very reasonable price and gives you entry into the zoo for the whole day after your session! Next block starts in feb and I think booking opens on 31st Jan https://learning.rzss.org.uk/course/view.php?id=153 i also loved BYOB (bring your own baby/bump) at National galleries- free session the first Monday of every month where they choose a series of artworks to talk about then have a cuppa afterwords with sensory play for babies. Also family Fridays look good! https://www.nationalgalleries.org/event/byob-bring-your-own-babybump-18?destination=/search-all/Byob

National galleries also have a family / kids space open with blocks art supplies etc that you can go and play in / eat your lunch!

The Camera Obscura has a lot of visual stimulation but no prams / buggies allowed due to it being an old building without a lift. We took our son a couple of days after his first birthday and I had him in the baby carrier. You can borrow one there if you don’t have your own.
