Help!

So I’m on my third pregnancy. I’ve had HG with all 3 now. I got prescribed a Buccal as soon as I found out I was pregnant because the nausea was the thing that tipped me off that I might be pregnant.

However I’m now roughly 7+3 and the nausea is unbearable. So far I’ve been lucky enough to keep some food and drink down but may I start being sick towards the evening.

I’m eating little and often and avoiding things that set me off but I don’t know what else I can do to ease the nausea. I have two kids under 3 so can’t just go and lie down and rest either as they are very active.

the only thing that worked for me was having ondansetron which I got at 11 weeks. They don’t recommend till after 12 but I was so bad it was so bad I was too early for steroids ☹️ It’s the worst thing ever

Watermelon helped as well and ice lollies 🩷 watery fruit that wasn’t to much on my stomach! you’re so strong for going through it whilst caring for children I’m so scared to have another! You got this 🫶🏼🫶🏼Xxxx

thank you lovely. Unfortunately this is the earliest it’s hit and I had to go into hospital at around 10/11 weeks with my boys so I’m expecting it to get worse over the next few weeks.

I do have a cup of ice cubes which helps a bit. If it helps you to be less scared to have another by the 16/20 week mark it gets a lot more bearable. I wasn’t sick after 22 weeks with my first and was only sick every now and then with my second after 20 weeks.
Also as bad as it sounds I take it as a good sign that the pregnancy is going well. I don’t enjoy being pregnant as they are always so rough for me but I end up with amazing and healthy kids at the end so it’s worth it xx

I second that Ondansetron was the only thing that worked for me, I tried so many different anti-sickness tablets and I’d just throw them all back up! Ondansetron literally saved me or I would have been completely miserable my whole pregnancy!

Lucozade orange sport and the fruit pastille ice lollies were also really helpful!

Sounds strange as well but I found being cold made me feel little less sick🤣 I would just stand with my head in the fridge for a while🤣

I’m the same with the cold thing 😂

yes I found weeks 8-15 were my worst my sickness started week 4 tho! And I found it better after 26 weeks but was still sick every day just not as much and was able to do things haha! And yes that’s true. My birth was soooo easy compared to my pregnancy that’s a plus!🩷 I deffo want more I’m just scared about childcare if I get sick again I was in hospital everyday for that duration 😩

same! I used to lie in my bathroom floor all day 😂😂😂

the sickness is what told me I was pregnant 😂 I wasn’t even late. I found out at 3 and a half weeks as I recognised the sick feeling 🤦‍♀️

I’ve told a few close family members and friends so I have the support and they would all happily watch the boys if I needed to go in. Unfortunately my other half is a chef so WFH isn’t an option for him, so a good support network was a must.

it’s so crazy isn’t it. I felt poorly THE DAY after I conceived and found out at 1 week 😂😂 it was a looong pregnancy to say the least and that’s good I’m glad you have the support! Hope it’s not as bad this time round 🥹🩷

wow that’s super early 😂 it’s how I knew I was pregnant the last 2 times 😂 thank you x

As silly as it sounds crackers/goldfish crackers or teddy grahams by the bed and try to eat even a few before getting out of bed or at least when you get up also remeber to replace your electrolytes although Gatorade made me feel sick every time, fruit cups, apple sauce, frozen grapes, strawberries, blueberries were all great, ice packs because being cold helped me too although other times I just wanted to curl up in my fluffy robe and than the next I was ripping it off dying of heat. HG is so hard to deal with I had it until about 7 1/2 months pregnant and wa sick from the get go finally went to the dr and I was only 3-4 weeks pregnant 😭 as for having other littles around Idk what to say besides having any support or help from family or friends I would take it! This was my 1st baby and always thought id have 2-3 kids and now Im terrified to ever get pregnant again 😐

Overwhelmed!

I’m due in June with my first baby, we started saving money before I found out I was pregnant and have continued to save money however, as we’ve needed to buy lots of baby stuff, decorate her room etc, we’ve not been saving no where near as much so obviously our total amount of savings hasn’t been going up as much as we like.

We’ve just had our renewal for some bills like council tax (which has gone up) etc. I just feel really deflated and thinking how on earth are we going to survive when I’m on maternity pay 😕

I know everything will be okay but it’s just really got to me today.

Did anyone else feel like this? Was there any help or things you did to make it easier?

Baby boy is officially here 💖

Born yesterday at 39 weeks. A very fast labour. Woke up at 2.30am on the 16th to my waters leaking, contractions didn’t start till 4am and then I was 2cm dilated, at 10am my contractions were strong enough where I couldn’t talk but was only 3cm so had a sweep and was admitted into the birthing centre. By 3pm baby boy was born in the pool 💖 had a bad 2 degree internal tear but I’m so so happy I can stop looking at him

Consultant booked c section for 39+4?!

Is this normal? I recently moved house so all my care was under a different hospital who advised thinking about a section after my last birth was awful with lots of complications and ended up in theatre anyway. I chose this and was told it would be at 38 weeks, also having issues with my heart, high blood pressure and preeclampsia symptoms again. But this new consultant would only book it for then but it makes me so anxious how close that is to my due date?? Is this normal?

Growth Scan

I have a growth scan today because my fundal height measurement has stayed the same at 29cm from when I was 28+5 weeks. Now I'm 32+3. Has anyone else experienced this? It has made my growth chart go from just under 90th percentile to under 10th.

Name crisis

I was so decided on a name, now I'm having second thoughts. It's not a standard name and his middle name is set after my Dad, John. He's very traditional and I know he'll hate the first name I chose! Open to any ideas! I would love if the initials sounded right too! Again, middle name "John". Thank you ladies!! 😭💟

Which induction method??

Im at the hospital now for induction and dont know which method to go for.
I initially didnt want the balloon because the sweeps really hurt me and I feel it will be most uncomfortable but seems like the highest success rate? And no hormones.

What has everyone else done and recommend?
