IUI success stories

Hi all,

**Please only write success stories or success with any of the questions I ask. It helps with my mental health, anxiety and stress.**

I just had my first IUI completed yesterday. I took clomid for 5 days. And on day 10, they performed an ultra sound and found 3 mature follicles. Two on my right, 1 being 20mm and the other 14 mm. The left side had one that was 13 mm. I was then cleared and took the trigger shot. came back the next day for the transfer.

I was hoping to hear success stories on people who had successful IUIs as I tend to get in my head.

Also, curious about size and number of follicles. What was your mature follicle count and did it result in multiple pregnancies? They did warn me that we may have multiple pregnancies, which my husband and I will welcome with open arms.

Lastly if anyone has any tips for the two week wait, I’d love to hear. I’m doing acupuncture to help with fertility and stress management.

The tww is the worst. Feels like 2 months 😆. Had mine done on 1/23. Got a positive 10 days after my trigger. Just waiting for my ultrasound and to see the heartbeat.

I don't have a success story yet. Both those follicle sizes seem good. Especially the 20mm. My follicles are usually in the 14-18mm range at that day 11 ultrasound. I had an IUI with 4 mature follicles once and still didn't end up pregnant, much less with multiples. So I don't think the risk of multiples is super high.

The TWW is hellish!! I wasn’t told my follicle sizes (maybe a difference between healthcare systems) but me and my wife were successful on our second round of IUI

As for the TWW I spent the whole time either scouring threads on Reddit about implantation symptoms and trying not to test early 🙈 but I also found cross stitching and hobbies like that great for distracting me

HI! I had great success with IUI (after TTC for a year). I got pregnant after my first round. I did 2.5 mg of Letrozole, trigger, IUI, and progesterone. I read online & decided to test out my trigger. So I tested starting 5 days after iui (with positives from trigger). Got my first true negatives 7 & 8 days after IUI. 9 days after IUI I got my first positive. I’ve been taking progesterone, and finishing up at 12 weeks. I’m currently 10.5 weeks along. Good luck!! I had 2 mature follicles (1 in each side) each measuring around 17 mm. But having a singleton!

omg we see twins! We had our first IUI 1/23 and got a positive test 9/10 days later! Waiting for our first ultrasound on 2/28! Congrats!

@Mary yep exact same for us!! I'm hoping for twins as well. Keep me posted my first ultrasound is the 22nd and it couldn't come any slower lol.

Hoping for a success story here soon. Three follicles 20, 18, 15. Trigger tonight and IUI Sunday.

Hopefully the ladies that commented last week are able to circle back with their success story soon.

I am in the same boat as you! I’m trying to be patient and calm. I had three mature follicles (20, 18, 14) on one side. He didn’t see the other ovary on the final scan and said that he wasn’t worried about that. I was on 2.5mg of letrozole pills, 4 shots, and then the trigger shot. He saw fertile mucus that indicates I’m ovulating properly. I go in for my test on the 9th! I’m really hoping to get lucky on our first IUI. Baby dust to us all!

Chemical pregnancy or too early ?

I did a test last night and straight away the positive line came up. When I tested again this morning it’s negative. My period isn’t due until Tuesday but feeling really crap and pregnant for the last week

Ovulation

If I had sex yesterday (Saturday) n my ovulation date is on Tuesday is it possible I could get pregnant?

Could this be like my ovulation is about to start from this ovulation test

I had my period on the 15 of march and my cycle is 23 days from the picture will be that I’m ovulating

I'm so not meant to be a mother.

My kids won't listen to me get into stuff when they know they aren't supposed to. Telling me no all the time. Only listen to their dad. Laughs when I correct them. I spend most of my time yelling at them because they don't want to listen to me at all. My husband said that I shouldn't have kids. And I am believing him on it. I was never meant to be a mother now. I won't hurt my kids I just want to disappear and make everyone else's lives better without me.

One and done… or not?

32ftm. I’m starting to feel so much pressure to have another baby soon as I wean from breastfeeding so they can be close in age and be friends, but I don’t feel ready for pregnancy and newborn trenches again 😭 my husband and I are all we’ve got. Having just one baby without a village has been really tough. Am I being unrealistic wanting another one soon?

I had a positive ovulation test yesterday and had unprotected sex the night before. I took the EllaOne pill last night. Has anyone had this before? Was it effective if you’d already seen the positive ovulation?
