Did your LO get constipated when swapping to cows milk? & if so, how long did it last for?
We’re still in the middle of transitioning, doing 1oz at a time but she seems to be really struggling with her bowels
She was on comfort milk formula which is reduced lactose due to constipation when she was younger
Could it be intolerance or CMPA?
Also wondering if doctors test for this or just go off symptoms when diagnosing?

I started transitioning my baby to cows milk a couple of weeks before he turned 1. We started off with 1 bottle a day and I straight away noticed the change in his poo. Fast forward a month and he’s now on cows milk 3 bottles a day and stage 3 formula milk if he needs a top up at night. Constipation hasn’t resolved itself but I found giving him soft pears throughout the day as snacks has helped ever so slightly to soften his stools.

I try and give him a slice of poached pear first thing in morning as I prepare brekky, seems to help get things going.

We are transitioning to goat's milk instead of cow's and don't really have any issues.

I've also been giving plenty of fruit to help soften stools whilst transitioning to whole milk and we use stage 3 formula milk at night.

I recently changed his last bottle to cows milk and he’s staying asleep for a lot longer. I found stage 3 milk was not filling him up. Last night he didn’t wake up for milk all night….. first time since he was born 😅

we've found the opposite when I give cow milk it gives him a burst of energy and he doesn't sleep lol hopefully we'll get to that stage soon as cow milk is alot cheaper than stage 3 formula lol

last night was the second night of introducing cows milk and so far it’s worked for us… fingers crossed it continues 😅
So true formula is so expensive we used to be on a subscription for 6 containers a month 😱
