Period type spotting day after a faint positive

Try not to lose hope yet. Bleeding in early pregnancy can be normal. I didn’t get a positive before my implantation bleeding that happened on 16dpo but I also stopped testing on 14dpo so I could have had a faint positive before the bleeding. I figured it was my period, but there was nothing in sight the next day so I took a test and it was positive 😊

@Courtney 💕 I’m sorry. You could try and test again to try and see what is going on. When I had my chemical, I had a blood test after my faint positive, then went in again 48 hours later to check progression, but it went down 😔 hoping that isn’t the case your you 🤞🏻

Hoping you’re feeling calmer this morning x I got a faint positive on a cheap test 12dpo, then a definite positive on a clear blue on 13dpo - my husband was refusing to believe the cheap Poundland test. We were ecstatic. Four hours later, once he’d gone to work, I had bad cramps and spotting red blood. Was devastated. Thought I was having a chemical. However over the rest of the day, I only had 4cm area of pink blood on a pantyliner. Cramps continued though. 14dpo, day of period, no more blood except residue from previous day, no cramps. 15dpo still a faint positive on a cheapie. 17dpo, a darker line on the cheapie. 19dpo strong positive line on cheapie with clear blue digital saying 2-3 weeks. Called and had a doctors appointment on 19dpo. Had already had a mmc 5months previously and wanted this bleeding recording so that if it ended in a mc it would be on my record. Doctor said it seems I was still pregnant.

I still am pregnant at 19weeks but those very early weeks were horrible, filled with worry. I didn’t completely relax till I had an emergency scan at 6weeks for bleeding, then saw a heart beat. I was afraid I was still getting positives because my body had continued growing the sac even though there was nothing there, just like with my previous missed miscarriage. I know that my 13dpo bleed could have gone either way. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best over the coming weeks xxx

@H This journey is just the worst! my bleeding has lasted 10 hours now and has filled a pad! There’s no clots but it’s definitely period like I think it could have been a false positive which is crazy as I’ve had so much nausea and heart burn 😭😭😭😭😭 xx

I’ve got what looks like a full blown period now 😭

@Courtney it was likely a chemical pregnancy and not a false positive. It’s nearly impossible to get a false positive. Exception being fertility treatments.
