FTM here, I use the baby brezza (formula dispenser) with Kendamil organic formula and didn’t notice that the settings changed on the machine from 4 to setting 7 so I have been feeding my 8 week old baby over concentrated formula. She’s exclusively formula fed as I cannot breastfeed due to really low supply so I’m already feeling so shitty about that for the past two months as I wanted to exclusively breastfeed. It took me 3 days to figure out that it was the machine - her feedings decreased to half as she had a lack of appetite due to the increased concentration of formula. I don’t know how the settings changed and I usually always check them but have been so busy and sleep deprived for the past 3 days that it slipped my mind, I just had a a random urge to check today and found the settings were incorrect.
Now I’m just wondering if I messed up any other bottles here and there and didn’t notice.
Has this happened to anyone before? Was your baby okay? She seems to be okay but wayy more gassy, sleepy and seems more tired and now I’m scared that she might be dehydrated. Her appointment with her paediatrician is in 4 days, should I wait to see if things go back to normal or take her to emergency to get everything checked out? I’m going to officially ditch the babybrezza as I’m so paranoid now.
I’m just worried sickkk now and when I google the impacts of incorrect formula to water ratios I’m just getting the scariest info. I just know I’m going to lose sleep over this now and just want to know if others LOs have gone through this and have been alright?
I feel so stupid for using this stupid machine, I thought it would be a safer and more accurate option than manual prep as they could introduce room for error but now feeling like the machine actually might introduce a lot more room for error than manually prepping bottles.

If you're worried about dehydration keep an eye out for the classic signs- fewer wet nappies, the wee in any nappies might be a more concentrated colour. The soft spot is sunken, few or no tears when crying, fussiness, drowsiness are to name a few. The nhs website goes into more detail.
Honestly I'm sure baby would be OK especially if you start making the correct formula concentration from now. But if you're anything like me you'll just be sat there stewing over it all. Hi, I’m using same formula and baby brezza and noticed same issue when counting scoops it was incorrect, where did you see it changed to setting 7?? I went online and it still says setting 4
Setting 4 is the correct one, somehow my machine got changed however to setting 7, maybe my hand hit the button by mistake while cleaning and it changed. Not sure how or when it happened. Anyways I changed it back to setting 4 when I realized BUT it was still dispensing the incorrect formula to water ratio. I had to start making bottles by hand to get my baby to start feeding properly again. Honestly so scared to even use the machine now, it definitely had a problem and when I went online a lot of people have complained about this issue. Regardless of using the correct setting it can dispense incorrectly. I ended up actually just getting rid of my machine.

How is bab doing now? 😊 x
