Third night in a row baby has got us up at 11pm, unable to settle her back down and just at a general loss as to wtf is going on.
Daytime sleep seems pretty much unaffected unlike the 4month regression which was the opposite.
Could this be a regression? How long will it last? I’m ill and exhausted and I can’t be doing this for weeks I’m already at breaking point at the moment 🥲 if anyone’s been through it can they give tips on how to get her back down?! As it’s a struggle 😢

Following!!

Yep same. Up every hour on the hour near enough. Have put the travel cot in my room again cause I can't sit on the spare room floor every hour of the night again 😐

We’re on our second week :(

We were same and then we have tried to drop his third nap which has helped some days he still needs it but predominantly he doesn’t and nighta improved xx

My little one is the same, suddenly up for like 2 hours in the night, won’t take a feed, just wide awake shouting 😣🤦🏽♀️

Mine keeps waking up at 11 as well. Luckily he has settled himself the last 2 nights but he’s been awake for about an hour each time just rolling about. The first night he rolled into the side of his cot and I couldn’t settle him for 2 hrs
can I ask what your schedule looks like please?
I’ve been picking her up to settle her as she’s next to our bed so that she goes back down.. should I be doing this? I don’t want to discourage self settling but I also need sleep so it’s hard!!

I’ve been doing the same! It’s what I would normally do if she woke up in the night.

Of course so on a 3 nap schedule it’s:
Wake about
06:30/7
Nap 09:00 - 30/40mins
Lunch nap - 12:15ish - normally min 90mins but if wakes before 2 he has a
Nap 4:15 - 20mins
Bed time - 7/7:30
2 nap schedule
Wake up 6:30/7
Nap - 9:00 - 30mins
Lunch nap - 12:30 usually 2hours up to 2hrs 30
If this happens I bring bedtime earlier and pop him down for 6:15.
Xx
thanks for that! With just the two naps that means the wake window between last nap and bedtime is like 4 hours is that right? Did you notice less night waking? Or an earlier start with the earlier bedtime? Thanks for your help x

We have started working towards this but it takes time so initially after his last cat nap I pushed bedtime back to 7:30 so he was having a wake window of 3hours and now his naps will be till like 2:30 meaning a bedtime of 6:15 at min so 3hrs 45 is his wake window however this will slowly move back to a wake window of 4hours cause he can’t quite make that just yet.
I am aiming for a morning wake window of 2hours, then 3 for second nap, then 4 before bed. That’s how I read it however it does all depend on baby and what they can manage but I’d defo try helping them learn to go that bit longer.
Initially means later bed then really early then it will even out. His night wakings stopped and his early mornings have pushed back from 5 to 6:30 xx
For us I think he was getting too much day sleep so now he averages 3hours max day sleep xx
thanks again!!! So what I don’t understand is that my bub only has two hours nap (ish) each day anyway so surely her having another hour plus earlier bedtime would mean less night sleep? Sorry for picking your brains I know you probably don’t have all the answers but can’t help but ask 🤣😂♥️

The world of babies is a total mindfield isn’t it! Could it be that she’s actually over tired then? As that also cause the wakings im led to believe so maybe not enough day sleep? What wake windows are you working with at the minute?
Has any bottles or feedings changed? So hard at this stage as so many factors can affect it can’t they xx
totally! This is the naps and start times I’ve been dealing with. To be honest she usually is fine only getting up twice for feeds then straight back down but you could be right? And her feeding is all over the place too, sometimes she’ll guzzle all her feeds then other days she strikes and only has a bit it’s driving me doolaley!! 🤣

It’s hard to say if she is usually fine with it and normally goes back off. I would say could it be here feeds but normally if she goes back off it doesn’t sound like it. Could she be teething? Sometimes teething pain is worse at night? Its hard to judge as there all so different but you could maybe slowly try the transition of 3-2 naps and see if it helps but start by increasing wake windows first so push lunch one back slightly so a wake window of 2 hours first thing then 3 hours then 4 before bed hope something helps as it is awful when your not feeling right and can’t work it. Hopefully she just settles again. Xx
