7 weeks today, measuring 6w1d with a very slow heart rate (70). I am devastated.
This was an IVF pregnancy using a PGT normal, high quality embryo. This will be my 3rd or 4th loss now.
The doctor said to hold onto a sliver of hope, but to prepare for the worse.
Has anyone had anything similar happen to them where there was a GOOD outcome?

I went to my first scan exactly at 7 weeks (based on LMP) and baby measured 6w2d and heartbeat was visual (they didn’t measure the rate). Then I also went to another scan exactly a week after due to hematoma and baby was still doing fine and that day measured 7w3days. (Gap went from 5 days to 4). Regardless of the measurements, I am always worried after previous 2 MCs but doctor told that 1 week gap is common and does not necessarily indicate a problem with growth. My next scan is on Monday so I hope I will see strong heartbeat and baby continues to grow, looking forward to sharing positive updates (fingers crossed).
In my first MC, measurement was 3 weeks behind and that time they told me to be prepared for an MC because of the huge gap.
Try to stay positive and I hope everything will be allright 🥰

We know I’m 7 weeks since I did IVF and a frozen embryo transfer. I’ll try to remain hopeful but my doctor isn’t 🩷

Please share your update next week if you’re comfortable!

don’t lose hope! It’s so hard to hear that the doctors don’t hold much faith but I believe that while baby has a heartbeat that baby will be fine! Fingers crossed for your sticky baby xx

thank you so much!

just came back from my scan and thanks god baby is growing as expected (still measuring 5 days behind) and the heart is still beating 🥰 I still cannot believe it and still cannot be fully happy for this due to having this constant fear of something bad going to happen after 2MCs.
Just wanted to share the update as promised. I hope things are going great at your end too! Please try to stay positive! 🌸

congratulations and thank you for sharing!! Did they measure the heartbeat?

I asked again and the sonographer said in the UK they don’t measure fetal heart rate at all she said as it doesn’t really say much about the progress or health of fetus and healthcare system here find it unnecessary. I think that’s a good thing for you not to make so much stress about it as long as there is heart beat ☺️

Hi her heart stopped and I had a d&c yesterday :( thank you so so much for checking in. I don’t feel like I bring much value to the earth right now.

I know it’s easier for us to say as we’re not currently going through this, but I’m so sorry for the loss of your baby :( I’ve had 9 losses in the past so I know the pain you’re going through, you are everything to the people who surround you, this isn’t your fault! Please take the next few days/weeks/months to practice self care, you need it more now than ever. I’m always here if you need to talk or vent to ❤️ xx
